Reid looked at the tightly closed door before turning his gaze to himself, still in his night-robe. It felt like he was meddling again in things he shouldn't.

Meanwhile, Aria sat alone inside the room. She couldn't understand how she was feeling.

Should she have held onto Dominic's hand and explained everything to him? But it now suddenly seemed unnecessary.

When Aria returned to the Yan Mansion, Milton was sitting on the sofa. She had expected as such, even though he was supposed to have gone to the company earlier. Beside him sat the last person Aria wanted to see, Roxanne Lin.

"Stop!" Milton called out after seeing her. But instead of following his order, Aria went straight up to the staircase.

"What's wrong?" she asked without looking back.

"Aria, is this really how you behave now? You didn't even greet us when you arrived. As you can see, we have a guest." Since Milton was waiting for her, he must have known that she was with Reid yesterday.

Only then did Aria turn around to look at Roxanne Lin. She asked, "Dad, is she the guest you're talking about? I don't think this woman who took my mother's place by sleeping with you should be considered a guest of the house."

Astounded by her response, Milton stood up and walked up to his daughter. "Apologize to your Aunt Roxanne now!" he ordered.

"I don't think it's necessary. Now, if there's nothing else, I want to go upstairs and rest." But just as she turned around, she was instantly pulled back by Milton.

He slapped her hard across the face, leaving Aria with a metallic taste in the corner of her mouth.

"What's your relationship with Reid? You do know what kind of a person he is, don't you? How can you be with such a person? Do you think you still deserve Dominic after this? Vicky had to give up her relationship with Dominic to make you happy. And you repay her by betraying Dominic? They told me everything this morning." Apparently, Milton received a call from Vicky. It was she who told him that Aria spent the night with Reid.

"Dad, you have no right to judge me after all t

he things you've done!" Aria then threw Roxanne a menacing glare, before marching upstairs.

At this point, Roxanne walked up to Milton and tried to soothe him. "Milton, forget it. Aria is in a bad mood right now. Don't take her words to heart. Anyway, I should head home now."

"You don't have to go. You will live here from now on." Milton was so furious, his eyes looked like they were about to pop out.

A short distance away, Aria clearly heard what Milton told Roxanne. But as she had already considered the matter, she had been prepared to hear the news.

Her phone rang as soon as she entered her room. A smile appeared on her face when she saw the number.

"Aria." A deep voice came from the other end of the line. It was her grandfather.

"Grandpa."

Lennon Yan seemed to be in a good mood after hearing her voice. "You've been back for a few days now. Will you have time to visit me today?"

"Of course. I'll be right there." And with that, she quickly changed her clothes and left the Yan Mansion.

Lennon Yan was confined to a sanatorium in a suburb area within B City. He was sitting on a wheelchair under a tree in the garden, waiting for his granddaughter to arrive.

It took Aria an hour to get there. As soon as she parked her car, a middle-aged man welcomed her. "Miss, you're here!"

"Antonio, it's been a long time." She walked up to Antonio and gave him a big hug.

"Mr. Yan is waiting for you," he said with a smile. Having known Aria since she was a child, he was pleased to see that she had grown up into a beautiful and graceful young woman.

After following Antonio to the garden, Aria instantly saw Lennon sitting on his wheelchair. "Grandpa!"

"Darling, would you see me if I didn't call you?" Lennon Yan patted her head and added, "I haven't seen you in years. You've really grown up. You're old enough to get married."

"Grandpa, what are you talking about? I don't want to get married so soon." Aria had originally thought that by the time she came home, she would marry Dominic. But at this point, that plan was all in the past.
