The weather was foggy and it rained several times in a row. It was as gloomy and depressing as a person's mood.

Lying on the bed, Shirley looked straight at the ceiling with her always bright eyes which was gloomy now, without any expression on her face. If she hadn't blinked her eyes and slightly undulating chest occasionally, you would have thought that she was frozen.

She was in a daze, and her brain was blank and faintly swollen. She was so dizzy that she couldn't lift a little strength, as if it was difficult to breathe.

It was already noon. Several hours had passed since the morning conversation with Yvonne, but she was still unable to absorb the information...

"Shirley, I have something to tell you."

Shirley's heart skipped a beat. She raised her head and looked at her, waiting quietly for what Yvonne was going to say. The thing that had puzzled her for many days was finally about to emerge.

"I... There will be some changes in my work in the future." After thinking for a while, Yvonne decided to be euphemistic.

Would she go on more business trips in the future? The uneasiness and disappointment in Shirley's eyes couldn't be concealed. She lowered her head. Since she went to high school, she clearly felt that Yvonne had gone on business more often and longer. Sometimes, she only stayed at home for half a month, which was beyond her tolerance. At first, she thought it was just temporary. Was it going to get worse?

Seeing the affection in Shirley's eyes, Yvonne's heart seemed to be a little painful. She sighed silently. The fact was that she had to face it. She said helplessly, "There are some personnel changes in the lawyer office. I will be transferred to City B later."

What! Shirley raised his head in shock, opened his mouth and looked at her in disbelief.

In her eyes, her mother was a person who didn't want to make too much change, and she didn't like to be disturbed the original rules of life. Since she had her memory, they had been living in City S and never left. In her plan, she did not consider leaving City S in the future. After all, there was a familiar environment, the familiar people, and all her memories.

She looked at Yvonne and asked with bitterness, "When will you leave?"

"After the New Year's Day."

It was already middle November, and there were only three months left before the New Year's Day. It was so fast and hasty.

Shirley felt more depressed, as if she was pressed on a big stone in her chest.

"Do you have to go?" Although she knew the answer, Shirley still didn't give up and asked. Her voice seemed to be choked with sobs.

With a long sigh, Yvonne saw that the tightly clenched hands of Shirley on the table had come out. Her fingertips had turned pale because of her grip. She suppressed her emotions and endured it. She couldn't bear it, so she reached out her hand and gently held it.

"Shirley, I have considered this decision for a long time. I know you don't want to leave here, so do I. but there are many things that can't be completed at a time. Only when you are willing to give up something can you get something, right?" Yvonne pinched her hand to comfort her and whispered to her.

?" Charlie sensed that something was wrong with her as soon as he entered the room. She was not as excited as before. Thinking of the worried look on Yvonne's face when he came, he was more assured of this view.

Finally, Shirley suppressed her tears. She raised her head and forced a smile. "No, nothing."

The corners of Charlie's mouth twitched two times. He frowned and said with disgust, "Don't smile. Your smile is uglier than crying."

"Clap!" A pillow flew over and hit directly on Charlie's face. In an angry voice, Shirley said, "You are the one who is ugly!"

Charlie pulled down the pillow and held it in his arms. He didn't look angry at all and said with a cheeky smile, "That's you. Don't pretend to be deep."

"Tell me, what happened?"

Shirley shook her head and didn't want to tell him. She hadn't figured out what to do and didn't know how to tell her. She was afraid that she would cry before she finished her words.

"Charlie," Shirley hesitated for a while and asked, "Have you ever thought that we will be apart in the future?"

She wanted to ask first so that she could know what was going on in her mind. She also wanted Charlie to give her some advice.

"Why do you suddenly ask such a question?" Squinting his eyes, Charlie looked at her inquisitively.

"Can't I ask?" Shirley argued unnaturally.

"I've never thought about it," said Charlie, taking a look at her. "But I'm not sure about it."

"Things will change a lot in the future. Why do you think so much?"

Shirley glanced at him and felt a little sad. What would happen in the future might happen now, okay?

Seeing that Shirley was looking at him with a sad look, a bold idea came to Charlie's mind. He looked at her in surprise and asked, "Shirley, are you..."

Shirley was shocked, wondering whether he could guess it by asking him casually and looked at him nervously.

"Do you like me?"

"Clap!" Another pillow flew over and smashed into his face, with a sentence, "Get out!"

If people had to separate, they should seize every second they could be together so that they wouldn't have any regrets, shouldn't they?
