Aaron smiled and waved his hand. "Forget it. No matter what topic I change, you have an excuse to refute. You'd better not say it."

Aaron's joke forced a smile on Patrick's face.

After a while, the car stopped at Ye family's house.

Lily stood in the courtyard and walked quickly to the car as soon as she saw it.

"Mr. Ye!" Lily helped Patrick out of the car.

"Aunt Lily, have you been waiting here all the time?" Patrick asked.

"Not long after, I saw the designated driver drive Mr. Ye's car back and wait for you here." Answered Lily.

Lily's concern warmed Patrick's heart. He said gently, "I'm fine. You don't have to worry about me."

Aaron closed the door and said to Lily with a smile, "I've brought him back safely. You must take good care of him."

"Thank you, Mr. Aron. I will take good care of Mr. Ye." Lily said politely, because she knew that every time on such a special day, Patrick would be unable to control his emotions.

After Aaron left, Lily helped Patrick back to his room.

"Where is Kathryn?" As expected, as soon as Patrick went back to his room, he mentioned the name of Kathryn.

After hesitating for a while, Lily replied, "Miss Aggy wanted to chat with Miss An, so she asked her to go to her residence again."

"This girl is so troublesome." Patrick took off his tie and threw it on the bed. "Well then, let her go."

Hearing what he said, Lily breathed a sigh of relief in her heart. "Mr. Ye, let me get you some hot water."

When Lily turned around and was about to go to the bathroom, she was stopped by Patrick. "No, Aunt Lily, I I want to talk to you."

Lily's heart skipped a beat, and what Patrick said strongly stimulated the softness in her heart. She could not help showing a look of pity in her eyes, "Okay, just say it, I'm listening."

Lily had watched Patrick grow up. She had always been respectful to Patrick as if he was the God. In fact, in her heart, she would also see Patrick as her own child. Because she felt sorry for what happened to Patrick and Aggy.

"I met Evan today." Patrick said in a low voice.

Lily was a little nervous. She had guessed what would happen between the two of them without hearing what Patrick said.

"Aunt Lily, you know, Evan is not only about Molly. He..." With a bitter smile on his face, Patrick continued, "If it weren't for me, it would have been Evan who is talking to you now."

"Mr. Ye, please don't say that." Lily gently held Patrick's hand. How she wanted to hold the strong looking boy in her arms and comfort him.

In Lily's eyes, the seemingly strong and indifferent Patrick was just a child who needed care and comfort.

"You and the lord are destined to be together. Although he really wanted to adopt Evan when he didn't see you, there was another reason why he changed his mind and didn't adopt him."

"

on Kathryn's face, Lily was furious. "I've told Mr. Ye that you spent the night with Miss Aggy. If Miss An doesn't want to make trouble for yourself, you should go back to your room to sleep now."

After saying that, Lily turned around and went downstairs. Kathryn stood in the corridor in a daze for a long time before she came to her senses.

"How sad are you now, Patrick?" Kathryn murmured to herself. Somehow, there was an indescribable pain in her heart for Patrick.

The neon lights at night couldn't cover up the dust and noise of the city by the bay.

In the nightclub, many lonely men and women in D City were invited here. In the midnight dreams, they were sweating profusely and dancing with youth, using luxury and ambiguity to spend their time.

Evan was sitting on the sofa in a corner and swaying the goblet in his hand. The bright light reflected by the glass was like his mood at the moment -- he was in a mess.

Today was a special day. Evan couldn't sleep alone after he went back from the cemetery, so he came here to exhaust his physical strength. It would be best if he was so drunk that he lost all his memories.

"Have you lost your memory? But Although I feel painful, I don't want to lose the memory that has you. And that man... " Evan smiled bitterly and drank the wine in one gulp. His internal organs were burning, but it was not comparable to the feeling of heartache.

"If we are still there, maybe we can become real friends? Not like now, don't you think so?" Evan whispered to himself, but no one answered.

"Patrick, do you really think you can understand me? Just like what I did to you, although we have fought for twenty years, we can't really understand each other. We are the same to each other."

That year, the children's welfare house left Evan a memory that could not be erased for the rest of his life, or even for all his lives——
