Dylan stopped her from behind. Then, Eva exchanged phone numbers with him and made an appointment to have dinner with him another day.

The intimate relationship between the two made Santosh very unhappy.

He didn't want to show his anger up, so he had to urge Eva to leave.

When the car started, he deliberately asked in a casual tone, "You seem to have a good relationship with Dylan."

"Yes, the three of us used to be three famous swordsmen in our school."

As if remembering her past with Hilton, she couldn't help but keep silent.

Judging from her expression and reaction, Santosh guessed something and stopped asking.

Half an hour later, the car stopped downstairs of Eva's apartment.

Jason had been waiting for her through the window. When he saw her get out of Santosh's car, he immediately stretched out his little arms and legs and ran out.

Hearing her son's clear and dependent voice, Eva immediately held the kid. She gently rubbed his hair and asked, "Have you eaten yet? Are you hungry?"

Jason shook his head and looked at Santosh with hostility. He deliberately raised his voice and said, "Uncle Hilton took me to dinner. We also watched a movie."

As soon as Santosh heard the name of Hilton, a cold light flashed through Santosh's eyes.

It seemed that Hilton knew how to chase the woman.

Thinking of this, he smiled at Jason and said softly, "Can I take you to the amusement park next time?"

Jason didn't show any respect to him.

With an embarrassed look on her face, Eva held his hand and said, "You can't be so impolite."

Jason turned his face away, pouted his chubby lips and snorted, "I just don't like him."

The atmosphere was a little awkward.

Eva touched Jason's hair and stole a glance at Santosh.

Seeing that he didn't show an angry expression, she breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Thank you for sending me back. Let's go inside."

Although he forced her to attend the party, she should be polite.

Santosh smiled. He wanted to go in and have a cup of coffee, but when he saw the hostility in Jason's eyes, he had to give up.

"Then I'll go back first."

When the black car disappeared in the night, Jason looked at his mother and asked, "Mom, do you like him?"

After a short pause, Eva pinched his little face and said, "He is just my boss."

Her son was smart, but too mature.

Hearing this, Jason put on a childish smile again. He held her hand tightly and took her inside, saying, "Mom, don't worry. If this bad uncle still harasses you, I will protect you."

In his little mind, he always thought that Santosh had an affair with Eva.

Eva shook her head with a smile.

Do you like Santosh?

Eva's heart skipped a beat and she immediately forgot this idea.

All she wanted now was to work hard and let Jace live a better life.

As for the relationship, it was not within her consideration.

On the other side, Santosh had been a little depressed since he left from Eva's house.

Thinking of Jason's hostile attitude towards him just now, he thought it was necessary for him to have a good relationship with him.

After all, Jason was her son. If he often spoke ill of her in front of her, she would definitely have a bad impression of him.

What's more, now there was Hilton surrounding Eva like a fly.

Thinking too much, Santosh was even more depressed.

Instead of driving home directly, he called his best friend Yakob Zhou.

Half an hour later, the two met in a famous hotel downtown.

Seeing Santosh drinking one glass after another, Yakob Zhou frowned and grabbed the glass from his hand.

"Stop drinking. Don't you have a meeting tomorrow?"

Santosh didn't say anything. He picked up an empty glass and refilled it again.

Yakob Zhou, who was standing next to him, guessed that his friend might have encountered some trouble, so he asked cautiously, "What happened? Why do you look like you are crossed in love?"

He was right. His current situation was similar to being crossed in love.

Santosh drank up a glass of beer and put it down. He sighed, "I seem to fall in love with Eva."

He had never been in such a mood before.

He wanted to get close to Eva, but for some reason, he stopped.

"If you like her, then try your best to pursue her."

Yakob Zhou glanced at him. It was rare for his friend to show such a depressed expression. He was as surprised as finding a new continent. "As a CEO, don't you even have the courage to chase a woman?"

Then he seemed to think of something and continued, "But that's right. In the past, it was other women who chased you. It's understandable that you haven't chased women."

Hearing this, Santosh was speechless. He had already been like this, but this man was still making fun of him like

After drinking another glass of cold beer, Santosh said drunkenly, "What do you know? If she didn't have a seven year old son, I would have chased her long ago."

Yakob Zhou was stunned. "You mean she has been married?"

"No, she isn't."

"Then he is an illegitimate child."

Yakob Zhou didn't expect that Eva would have an illegitimate child. He just couldn't bear to see his friend's sad face.

After thinking for a while, he said, "It's really a difficult problem. Even if you are with her, your parents will not allow her to marry you."

In Santosh's opinion, this was never a problem.

He hadn't listened to his parents since he was a child. He had to get the one he liked, and no one could stop him.

"You think too far. I haven't started yet,"

Santosh reminded him coldly.

Hearing this, Yakob Zhou touched his nose.

The playful smile on his face disappeared and he said seriously, "To be honest, it's the first time I've seen you get drunk for a woman. I think you can give yourself some time to think about it. Let's see if you really have to be with her."

"What do you mean?"

Santosh frowned.

Yakob Zhou told him his plan and asked him to be apart from Eva for a while so that he could know what he really thought.

Santosh listened carefully. When Yakob Zhou finished his words, he asked with doubt, "Is that possible?"

"It depends on you."

Yakob Zhou grinned and continued, "Maybe she is your type. It's not strange that you have a crush on her, but whether it's just a temporary crush or a real crush, time will tell you everything."

After a pause, he took a look at Santosh and said, "If you really like someone, you won't mind any of her shortcomings."

Back home from the bar, Santosh had been thinking about what Yakob Zhou had said to him.

So he suffered from insomnia that night.

The second day they arrived at the company. After a regular morning meeting, Santosh said he would go abroad for a business trip for a period of time. For the time being, all the company's affairs were temporarily handed over to a director he trusted.

This business trip had been put on the agenda for a long time. Santosh just brought forward the business trip a month earlier, which could prevent his contact with Eva.

Eva didn't think too much. She just thought that Santosh was on a business trip.

Before leaving, Santosh couldn't help but want to see and hear her voice, so he called her to his office.

"Sir, what can I do for you?"

Eva knocked on the door gently.

Santosh looked up at her and deliberately concealed his complex emotions. "Come in."

After a pause, she walked to Santosh and lowered her head in a respectful and humble manner.

In the company, he was her boss.

Noticing the alienation on her face, Santosh kept silent for a few seconds and said, "I'm flying this afternoon."

Hearing this, Eva was confused and looked down at her toes.

"What can I do for you, sir?"

Santosh felt a little annoyed when he heard her calling him like that and deliberately kept a distance from him.

He pursed his lips and said in a stiff voice, "You have to finish your work well when I'm not here."

"I will."

Eva breathed a sigh of relief.

She thought Santosh had something important to tell her.

Compared with her relaxed and calm posture, Santosh's heart was undoubtedly more complicated.

He opened his mouth and was about to say something when three regular knocks came from the door.

Then, Cathy's voice sounded, "Sir, it's time."

She was Santosh's secretary. It was not surprising that she came to inform him.

Noticing that Cathy was looking at her, Eva looked over subconsciously and happened to meet Cathy's sarcastic and hostile eyes.

She blinked her eyes. When she looked back, Cathy had already looked away.

"I see."

Santosh nodded. When he stood up and brushed past Eva, he paused for a moment and then walked out of the door.

Eva lowered her eyes and followed him out, but she returned to her office.

One of her colleagues asked her why the CEO asked her to go there, but she just replied casually without saying anything.

The colleague curled her lips and went back to her seat since she couldn't get any information to gossip.

In the following days, Eva was not used to Santosh's temporary leave, but soon she had no time to think of him.

Because of the sudden increase in her workload, she was given a lot of work that should have been done by other colleagues.

She was a newcomer and could only accept such unfair treatment.

But she didn't expect that it was all Cathy's fault.

Cathy was not only Santosh's secretary, but also a senior director of the company. She had a good education background and many colleagues would flatter her.
