She pulled out the hidden handkerchief and clenched it in her hand.

She got out of bed, casually pulled over a long dress on the sofa and quickly changed it. But she didn't expect to cough because of her anxiety.

She glanced at the door and covered her mouth with a handkerchief to reduce the cough.

She didn't stop until her cough made her voice changed.

The handkerchief in her palm was stained again.

She crumpled the handkerchief into a ball and threw it into the bathroom.

After dinner, Cathy was pulled into the room by Mia. Seeing that Mia was nervous and cautious, Cathy asked with a smile, "What's wrong?"

Mia turned around and went straight to the point with a serious face: "Why didn't you tell me that our mom was not in good health recently. If I hadn't come back today, would you keep it a secret?"

"What are you talking about?" Cathy glanced at Mia unhappily, "You know that our mom has always been in poor health. Besides, it's mom's idea." After saying that, Cathy walked to the sofa and sat down, but her eyes were fixed on Mia.

Mia used to be lively and obedient, but now she became suspicious and sensitive, and her aura had become tough.

"Mom didn't ask you to tell me because she didn't want me to worry about her. Why don't you tell me?" Mia answered quickly.

"You know that mom doesn't want you to worry about her." Cathy stood up, grabbed her handbag and said, "I have something else to do later. Stay with mom more."

Before Mia could react, Cathy had opened the door and left.

Mia was stunned. Mia felt that Cathy was angry when Cathy left.

"Who made Mia unhappy?" As soon as the sound of knocking at the door came through, Jacob's voice followed with ridicule.

Mia looked up at him and lowered her head again.

She felt it strange to come back this time.

Grandmother's attitude was strange. Cathy left the room in a strange way, and even her mother's poor health was strange.

In the pas

p but shout.

Oliver raised his hand and wiped his forehead. Then he glanced at the others one by one and said in a low voice, "Ethan, our father disappeared for no reason. Do you dare to say that it was not you who did it?"

"What!? Oliver, don't talk nonsense! " Suzy exclaimed.

"What are you talking about? It's not for fun." Shocked, Lisa patted Oliver's arm.

After all, it was done by the people in the old house, and everyone was suspected. But she had never dared to doubt Ethan.

If this was not done by Ethan, they would have to bear the consequences of slandering Ethan.

As for Ethan's anger, could anyone present bear it?

"Uncle Oliver, are you mistaken! It was definitely not Uncle Ethan's idea!" Ryan said affirmatively.

"Ryan, don't interrupt!" Lucia gave Ryan a warning look and pulled him to her side.

Ryan was not a shrewd man at all. He always went straight about everything and treated people sincerely. She liked it, but at the same time, she was worried about him.

"I'm not talking nonsense. You can ask Ethan about it." With a smile at the corners of his mouth, Oliver looked at Ethan. Oliver had never dared to look into Ethan's eyes.

Ethan raised his head slowly with a faint smile on his face.

The smile made everyone in the living room feel creepy.
