Soon, Stefan knew what Nancy was waiting for.

The night was dark and the wind was strong.

Wearing gloves and holding a spade, Nancy tried her best to dig the soil while listening to the strange birds singing in the forest of the European suburb.

Sitting in the car, Stefan watched Nancy's skillful movements and felt scared.

'This woman must have done it many times, so she was familiar with it.'

The trees here were tall, and the fog was illusory blue.

The car lamp provided light for Nancy, and her face was clearly illuminated.

Stefan fixed his eyes on her, but he couldn't see any nervousness or fear in her eyes.

He couldn't help thinking.

Did she do all these alone in the past?

Why did she ask him to come with her this time?

Would she bury him, as a witness after she chopped up a corpse and obliterated all traces?

When he was still lost in various fancies and conjectures, Nancy had walked to the window and asked abruptly, "What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing." Stefan denied.

He took a deep breath, and his nose was filled with cold air, mixed with the smell of soil.

"I asked you to open the trunk. Didn't you hear me?" Nancy's eyes were especially bright in the dark night, and her sclera was slightly blue.

This made her eyes sharp when she quietly stared at him.

Stefan said, "You can open it by yourself."

"My hands are full of mud. I don't want to take off my gloves. You are a neat freak. If I stain your car, you will throw it away." Nancy said seriously.

Stefan smiled helplessly and opened the trunk for her.

'What the hell is this? You thought I would throw it away when it was dirty. Didn't you expect that the car was declared to be scrapped the moment the corpse was carried into it?'

Nancy dragged the corpse out of the car. When she passed the door, she said slowly, "What a pity for such a good car."

The corners of Stefan's mouth twitched.

He couldn't talk or smile, especially at this time.

He was not so calm. This was...

'Wait, will I become an accomplice?'

"Hey!" He stretched out his head and shouted. The whole forest was full of his echo. He could not help but lower hi

t of the car and quietly leaned against the door.

Stefan still wanted to say something to her, but a policeman knocked on the door and pulled him out.

He looked at Nancy who was taken to the police car and calmly hid the U disk.

'Nancy, you must keep your words. You must come back to get your things.'

In the dark night, Nancy was so small that she was taken away by several people and couldn't be seen clearly.

Then, Stefan was taken to the police car.

He suddenly turned around and found that the police car where Nancy was in was a different direction.

"Where are you taking her?" He asked the policeman beside him in English.

No one answered him.

Were they policemen or not?

Who on earth were the people escorting Nancy?

They were robust and burly. They looked a little different from the men who were escorting him.

"Where are you taking me?" Stefan asked.

"Police station." The person beside him said, "We will ask you as a routine. As long as you make it clear, and you don't commit a crime, we will definitely let you go. Please cooperate with the police."

"What about her?" Stefan asked.

No one answered him.

These people, as if they didn't see Nancy, didn't answer any question.

Sitting in the interrogation room of the police station, Stefan regained his usual calm. No matter what they asked him, he didn't say anything. Instead, he only said, "I won't say a word before meeting my lawyer."
