"Hello, I'm here to talk business with your general manager, Mr. Fu. This is my business card." Alina calmly handed her business card to the staff member who asked her.

Hearing that they were here for business, the staff member's face flashed with joy. But after knowing that Alina was the vice president of the Xu Group, the joy turned into surprise and daze.

As an assistant of Mr. Fu, of course she knew the Xu Group. She also heard of Alina's name. What confused her was that what kind of business would the Xu Group have with Glen since they were competitors to each other?

"I'm sorry. Mr. Fu is in a meeting. I'm afraid he doesn't have time to see you for the time being. How about you come another day?"

"Are you Mr. Fu's assistant, Miss Tong? Although I came here abruptly, are you sure you want to refuse us without telling Mr. Fu?" Alina said slowly with a faint smile on her face. She didn't show any displeasure when Miss Tong refused her without permission.

"Well..." Miss Tong looked at another staff member in the office hesitantly and said, "Mr. Fu is really in a meeting."

Alina said calmly, "It doesn't matter. How long can a meeting last? We can wait for him. Shall we wait here or go to the reception room?"

Miss Tong didn't expect Alina to be so persistent. She looked gentle but was tough. And Sheffield looked cold. She didn't dare to refuse them too thoroughly.

"How about this? You two take a seat in the reception room first. I'll ask Mr. Fu if he can spare time this morning."

Alina smiled, "Thank you."

Miss Tong politely led the two to the reception room next door. After pouring tea for them, she went out to make a call to the boss.

Looking around the simply decorated reception room, Sheffield looked at the tea on the table and said sarcastically, "Glen is really putting on airs."

Alina looked at him and said indifferently, "It's tough outside but weak inside."

Seeing the tea leaves floating and sinking in the glass, they did not have the intention to drink.

After a while, Miss Tong went back to the reception room and said with a smile, "Miss Li, Mr. Fu has just finished the meeting. Let me take you to his office."

They stood up and followed her.

When they arrived at the door of the general manager's office, Miss Tong stopped, pushed the door open and said to the person inside, "Mr. Fu, I've brought the guests here." Then she made a gesture of welcome to the two of them.

Seeing the beautiful woman and handsome man coming in, Samuel paused for a moment, and soon showed a lukewarm smile. "Miss Li, right? Glen and the Xu Group never did business with each other. What brings you here today?"

The company was unable to hold on any longer. Samuel was so anxious that he was not in the mood to deal with a person like Alina who was from a competitor.

The middle-aged man in front of her looked tired and had grey hair. Alina didn't care about his coldness and said calmly, "We are here today to discuss a big business with Mr. Fu."

"What big business?" Samuel asked suspiciously.

"I heard that Glen is running out of money. Has Mr. Fu come up with a sol

g wheel and drove away.

They entered the elevator. Because there were not many guests going up and down at this time, there were only two of them in the elevator.

In the narrow space, Sheffield took a glance at Alina and saw that she was reading Van's business card in her hand. A touch of displeasure flashed through his heart. He blurted out sharply, "What are you looking at? He is a married man!"

It took Alina a while to understand what Sheffield meant. She suddenly felt that he was so unreasonable.

"He just sent us back. I have to remember his name, in case I forget next time. What's wrong?"

Hearing her explanation, Sheffield felt uneasy and looked away from Alina. He pursed his lips and kept silent with a cold face.

He thought she liked married men just like her mother.

Looking at the cold and arrogant look on the hero's face, Alina felt very uncomfortable. She didn't like the feeling of being ridiculed and criticized by him for no reason, as if she was a frivolous and dissipated bad woman!

Besides, he was nobody to her. Why should he criticize her like that?

With a straight face, Alina stared at Sheffield and said coldly, "Please be polite to me in the future. Besides, you have no right to interfere with my business."

This was the first time that Alina had been so serious and fierce since Sheffield came back.

In the past, no matter how he provoked her, she either pretended not to care or argued with him casually. She had never warned and scolded him in such a harsh tone.

A faint grievance and surging anger surged up in Sheffield's heart.

He stared at Alina with hatred and said in a mean and cold tone, "If it weren't for the fact that you are the daughter of the Xu Family, even if you died in front of me now, I wouldn't have glanced at you!"

Alina sneered, "Then I'm sorry to make you suffer! Why don't you kick me out of the Xu family!"

This woman... Sheffield's face was as dark as ink, and his fists were clenched with anger. This woman was really arrogant!

He would soon let her know that her good days were numbered.
