Fiona was taken aback.

Olivia was a third-class actress who constantly relied on the Ling family to pay for whatever she wanted. She never had any lead roles, but she hung out with the rich and famous, which was where most of her arrogance stemmed from.

Now she was asking help from Fiona. Could there be anything more ridiculous than this?

"Come over here right now. My parents raised you for years. You owe us. Do you really want to see me die?"

Olivia said seemingly miserably as she knowingly looked around at the rich playboys she was with.

Tonight, she had no choice but to call up Fiona and get her to come here. The young master of the Fu family was sexually impotent, so she was kind enough to give her a gift for her wedding night.

However, when she heard Fiona's response, she was taken aback.

"Sorry. My husband and I are resting right now. We'd like it if we weren't disturbed."

Fiona had to resort to using Jeremy as an excuse. When the Ling family got a hold of the money, she could start discussing the divorce.

Jeremy kept mentioning the money which meant that he was willing to help the Ling family.

After hanging up the phone, Fiona found it difficult to breathe.

'Husband. Argh. I can't believe I had to say that out loud.'

She then felt Jeremy's burning gaze on her. She quickly collected herself as she explained, "Don't get me wrong. I was just forced to say that. I'm not the least bit excited about being married to you. I'm going to divorce you as soon as I can."

As Phil had said earlier, even though he was an illegitimate son, he was still a young master of the Fu family. He had lots of beautiful women to choose from.

"Go to sleep. I'll talk to you tomorrow." Jeremy held his breath, not wanting to hear another word out of her.

"Are we really going to talk tomorrow?" Fiona prompted eagerly, her eyes glistening.

She intended to cut ties with the Fu family right away. Phil didn't seem to like her and Caspar was bothered that she had already been with other men. While she didn't know what Jeremy's true intention was, she couldn't risk it as her secret could be discovered one day.

She had been raped that night. She didn't even know who he was. She just wanted to bury the memory at the back of her mind and forget about i

t.

Worn out, Jeremy blurted out, "I'm tired."

"Okay, I won't disturb you. I'll leave." If there was one thing she wanted, it was to be away from him.

Unable to stand it any longer, Jeremy stood up, intending to stop her from speaking.

He hadn't had a good night's rest for a long time. He only had a quick nap.

As his hand froze midair, her phone began ringing once more.

Fiona glanced at her phone—it was Jonas.

"Don't answer it," he ordered coldly.

"It's my uncle. He is my benefactor." Over the years, only Jonas made her feel a little warmth. While Melissa treated her nicely too, she still couldn't shake off the strange feeling she had about her.

It seemed odd that she would receive a phone call from Jonas just right after her phone call with Olivia.

Something must have happened.

As soon as she answered the call, Jonas roared in her ear, "Fiona, I was wrong about you. I thought you would at least be kindhearted. It turns out I misunderstood you. You're just like your mother. You're not decent and kind at all."

Fiona felt her chest tighten.

A twinge of pain shot through her heart. She couldn't believe she was hearing such hurtful words from her uncle whom she thought cared about her.

Did she really not have any family left?

Melissa grabbed the phone from Jonas. She warned her, her tone heated, "Fiona, if anything happens to Olivia, you're going to pay for it."

More than being hurt and offended, Fiona was flummoxed. What on earth had happened?

This wasn't the first time that Olivia played tricks on her. Did she have no right to refuse anymore?

"Come here right now or we'll make you regret this!"

Staring blankly into nothing, Fiona sat down as Olivia's address was rambled to her ear.

She then stood up, ready to leave. Since they were all but threatening her, she had no choice but to go.

She quickly headed downstairs and met Ella, so she could ask for the key to the car. Ella obediently handed her the car keys.

By the time Jeremy had come out, she had already left.

He turned to Ella and asked, "Where is she?"

"What? Sir, are you talking about your wife? She seemed to be in a hurry as if she had something urgent to deal with, so I gave her the car keys..."

"If anything happens to her, it's on you!"
