Tracy soon regained her composure.

She slapped the man's arm and wriggled out of his hold.

The man's frivolous gaze, the amusement in his eyes annoyed her.

"Leave me!"

She stepped back and glared at him.

The smile on the man's face vanished in an instant.

Tracy's reaction surprised him. He stepped closer and smirked at her. "Uh-oh! Control your anger, Miss. spicy."

Tracy was seething with rage. She couldn't control her anger anymore.

But Tracy had to regain her composure and find Ray.

She didn't know where the little boy was.

Panic rose in Tracy's heart. She turned around to leave, but the man held her hand and blocked her way.

"Get out of my way!"

Tracy hissed through her teeth.

"It is you who is standing in my way. You can't ask me to leave."

The man was getting on Tracy's nerves.

She turned around to look for help, but the road was empty. There was not a single person in the street.

Tracy's blood was boiling.

She withdrew her hand from the man's hold and scowled at him.

However, the man grabbed her hand and pulled her closer to him.

"What on earth do you want? I don't even know you,"

Tracy roared hysterically. She couldn't restrain her temper.

The man knitted his brows and studied Tracy's face. He didn't expect Tracy's reaction.

The angrier Tracy was, the more interested he was in her. He leered at her, not caring to hide his intention. "Whoa! Calm down, lady."

The man stepped closer and whispered in her ears. "This is my place, so don't even think about escaping."

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" barked Tracy. "Are you out of your mind? This is your place? How can you be so arrogant? Leave me alone!" The man's arrogance reminded her of Brody.

Even Brody wasn't as arrogant and cocky as the man was.

"What the hell do you want?" Tracy was furious.

She wanted to pounce on the man and wipe the smirk off his face.

Tracy knitted her brows and traced her eyes across the man from head to toe.

He was dressed in casual pants and a misbuttoned shirt. Tracy had a strange look when she noticed this.

"You've ruined such a good dress, mocked Tracy.

She was certain that the man had misbuttoned his shirt on purpose.

"Not bad. You have good taste."

The man ignored Tracy's anger and continued to flirt with her.

She raised her hand to hit him, but the man loosened his grip in time and dodged.

Tracy missed the shot.

She stomped her foot in annoyance and stared at him.

"Can you please step aside? I'm in a hurry. Don't waste my time."

Tracy pleaded.

The man was stunned. He continued to look at Tracy's sad face without moving.

His heart skipped a beat. Tracy's beauty ignited a spark of desire in his heart. "Give me a kiss, and I'll let you go."

The man turned his face to reveal his cheek.

He closed his eyes and waited for her to kiss him.

Tracy's face reddened with rage.

He was handsome; therefore believed that Tracy would kiss him without any hesitation. But he was wrong.

The man opened his eyes and saw Tracy glaring at him. "Are you sure you're a woman?" he snapped.

Tracy's resistance annoyed him. He couldn't resist his temptation.

Tracy didn't bother to retort. She stared at his face motionlessly, with desperation in her eyes.

She was tired of arguing with him. She was really very worried about Ray. But this man was too shameless.

The man stepped closer and grabbed her arm.

Tracy slapped his chest and tried to push him away, but the man didn't budge.

She turned around to take a different route, but the man had trapped her. She couldn't move.

"I really have something to do; it's urgent. Can you please let me go?"

A lump formed in Tracy's throat. She felt helpless.

A wave of despair killed the anger simmering in her heart.

She had to find Ray; that was the only thing in her mind.

The man was taken aback.

He realized that she was telling the truth.

The man's face broke into an evil grin.

"I'm not your enemy. I'm in the middle of something; please let me go,"

Tracy begged.

She was not worried about Brody's anger or what he would do to her. The thoughts about Ray filled her mind.

The little boy's life was at stake. She couldn't waste her time with a stranger.

Everything was her fault. She shouldn't have left him alone to participate in the competition.

Tracy's melancholic face melted the man's heart, but he couldn't restrain his urges.

Before Tracy could react, he cupped her cheeks and pressed his lips against hers.

Tracy's body froze.

The man's scent filled her lungs.

His damp lips were brushi

ng against hers.

He thrust his tongue into her mouth and deepened the kiss.

The man let out an ecstatic moan as a ripple of pleasure coursed through his body.

Tracy pursed her lips to break the kiss.

She punched the man's chest and began to kick her legs violently.

However, the man didn't budge.

Her tiny hands were no match to his strength.

Tracy collapsed to the ground; tears of anger and humiliation flooded her eyes.

'What an asshole!

How could he do this to me?' Tracy thought desperately in her mind.

Big, hot tears crept on to the man's lips. He finally broke the kiss and looked at her. A frown lined on his forehead as he wondered why she was crying.

"It's just a kiss.

What are you crying for?" The man looked at her in confusion.

Tracy didn't speak.

She continued to stare at him as tears lined her cheeks.

Anger, hatred, and disgust simmered in her heart, but she was too weak to fight back. Tracy wiped her lips angrily.

She hated to reveal her weakness. The mere sight of the man infuriated her. She wanted to punch the man's face until he realized his mistake.

Tracy had never met anyone as arrogant and haughty as he was. Brody was a hundred times better than him.

"All right, all right I'm done with you. You can go now."

The man released Tracy from his hold. He couldn't watch her cry anymore.

Tracy, however, didn't move; she continued to stare at him as her tears finally ceased.

The ferocity of her gaze frightened the man. "Are you kidding me?" He waved his hands in exasperation.

The blaring of her phone broke the silence.

Tracy fumbled in her pocket and finally pulled the phone out.

An unknown number flashed on the screen.

An eerie feeling settled in Tracy's stomach.

Her intuition told her that this call was important.

Her heart skipped a beat. Her heart was in her mouth. Ray was missing; she knew what it meant to receive a call from an unknown number.

Tracy pressed the phone to her chest and took a deep breath to control her racing heart.

She desperately ran out of the lane to answer, but the phone stopped ringing. The call got disconnected before she could answer.

Tracy screamed in frustration.

She scrolled through her phone and returned the call.

However, the caller disconnected her call.

Tracy broke into a cold sweat; something seemed wrong.

Just when Tracy wondered what to do, her phone chimed with a message. "If you want your child, come to the suburbs alone. You'll find a desolate factory 20 kilometers away from QL Entertainment Club."

Her mind began to race. The place seemed familiar, but she couldn't remember where it was.

Tracy squeezed her eyes shut to recollect the place. That club was owned by Ben. She often went to the club to attend parties and had seen the abandoned factory from a distance.

Tracy shoved her phone back into her pocket and began to run towards the direction of the factory. Panic clouded her mind; she didn't think of hailing a taxi; she didn't bother to question the man but continued to run, keeping her destination in mind.

Tracy was, soon, exhausted and breathless.

The cold wind was whipping her face. Her lungs were burning, but nothing stopped her.

No one had set foot into the abandoned factory in years. There was a deep forest with overgrown weeds and shrubberies beside the factory.

The place looked spook even in daylight.

Tracy stared at the enormous building. Fear wracked her nerves.

An ominous silence pervaded the place. Even a slight movement was clearly audible.

The occasional rustle of the wind sent a shiver down her spine.

Even the cawing of birds and the fluttering of their wings frightened Tracy.

Tracy was a timid girl but pretended to be strong in front of others.

However, Ray's life depended on her. She had come to rescue him.

She was ready to do anything to save the little boy. Nothing else mattered to her.

She looked around.

She felt something cold pressed against her head. Tracy froze on the spot; her mind went blank.

She swallowed the lump on her throat.

'Is it a gun?'

she suspected. She was frightened by the thought.

Tracy tried to move.

"Don't move, or I'll kill you!" A cold voice of a man reverberated across the silent forest.

Tracy shuddered and almost fell to the ground.

Her body began to tremble.

She couldn't hide her fear.

Tracy had never seen a gun in her life, but her life was hanging by a thread now.

She didn't dare to look back.

Tracy was petrified, but Ray needed her.

She had to keep calm and muster the strength to rescue him.
