Patrick didn't smoke. People around her knew that she didn't like the smell of smoke, and they seldom smoked in front of her. She didn't see Terence smoking, so she thought he didn't smoke. But now it seemed to be different.

Terence pressed his hands on the steering wheel. The appearance of Violet didn't make him happy at all. His face darkened, as if he had something on his mind.

"What's wrong?"

Violet asked suspiciously.

She had never seen Terence like this. Did he fight with the Gu family because of her and return after a crushing defeat?

Terence still didn't say anything, which made the atmosphere a little strange. Violet touched her arm which was blown by the wind and said calmly, "I'll go upstairs if you don't say it."

She wondered what was wrong with Terence. He didn't say a word when he asked her to go downstairs. What was he doing?

Terence finally came to his senses when Violet was about to leave. He stared at Violet, his burning eyes shining even in the dark night.

"What's the matter? Just say it," Violet couldn't help but urge him.

Terence only glanced at her. Before Violet could react, he locked the door and drove away like an arrow leaving from the string.

Violet exclaimed and grabbed the handrail quickly.

However, Terence didn't give a damn care. The car was speeding on the road.

The wind messed up Violet's hair and her heart. Only by holding the handrail could she feel safe.

As if he was crazy, Terence drove at the highest speed regardless of Violet's feelings. All the cars on the road dodged.

At first, Violet screamed a few times, but in the end, she lost all her strength. She used all her strength to hold the handrail, fearing that she would be thrown out of the car as soon as she let go.

The car whizzed along the road, and the wind and leaves were blown into the car, hitting Violet in pain. Her mind went blank. Under the crisis, she felt like she was on the verge of death.

Terence's face remained calm and his eyes were fixed on the front, as if speed was nothing to him. The faster he moved, the calmer he beca

es, but she held them back.

At this moment, her resentment was more than fear. Maybe it was because of the company of Terence that the forest looked less gloomy.

"Because I don't damn want you to be unhappy at all. Because I love you. Because you want to go abroad, I won't stop you." Terence suddenly raised his voice. His explanation surprised Violet.

Especially... He loved her?

At this moment, Terence's expression was full of anger, with a complex expression, which made Violet a little worried.

"Are you okay?" She sneered.

She didn't believe Terence's reason at all. Terence was so ridiculous. In order to convince her, he even made up such a ridiculous reason.

What did he mean by saying that loving her and loving someone was torturing each other?

Terence stared at her without blinking. He seemed to have a lot to say, but finally he only asked, "Violet, don't you have anything to say to me?" His eyes were full of expectation, as if he had been waiting for a long time.

"What do you mean?" Violet was confused. What could she say to Terence?

Terence took a deep breath and asked, "Why did you leave without saying goodbye four years ago?"

"Haven't we met in the airport of Ukraine?" Violet answered casually. She didn't think it was something important at all.

Terence hit the steering wheel with his fist, which made Violet's ears almost deaf and she became alert.
