"Then, what about the girls? Where did they go?" Celia asked anxiously.

"They were both sent to an orphanage. It seems that the older one was adopted by a rich family. As for the younger one, she was so pitiful. It is said that she died in the orphanage in the end. Alas!"

"Well, grandma, do you remember their names?" Celia begged in a tremulous voice.

"Well, let me think. The woman was named Anna Chu. Her eldest daughter's name is Nelda Chu, and her youngest daughter was named Sally Chu!"

Sally Chu? Sally Chu!

Celia's body shook in shock. She would have fallen down if it were not for Ron's support.

She didn't know why she lost all self-control when she heard this name.

Celia couldn't remember anything about walking out of the building with Ron.

Originally she came here to investigate the letter Rona had received, but now she felt her body racked by chills as she shivered convulsively.

The expression on Ron's face was completely puzzled.

The woman was supposed to be dead. Why did she send a letter from this strange place? Or did someone do it on purpose?

But how could his mother have anything to do with them? She didn't even have any relatives with the last name Chu.

And what had the letter said? How could it upset his mother so much that she'd try to commit suicide!

On the way home, it was very quiet in the car. Both Ron and Celia were immersed in their own thoughts. Finally, a phone call from Moore broke the silence.

After a long pause, Ron answered the phone.

But when his father's voice sounded over the phone, his handsome face changed again.

He hung up the phone and stared deeply at Celia, who was sitting on the passenger seat. Seeing that she still seemed lost in thought, he abruptly turned the car around.

By the time Celia reacted, the car was already heading away from the hospital.

"We're not going back to the hospital?"

"I think it's better for us to take a break for now. I won't go back to the hospital. I'll take you somewhere nice instead."

The man in the driver's seat held the steering wheel and looked steadily forward. He spoke casually.

"Is this a surprise?" Celia asked as if she was joking.

To her surprise, Ron actually nodded.

"Yes, I planned it a few months ago. I wanted to give you a surprise, but I was held off because of the company's business. Now, I want to take you to see it."

He finally glanced at her with a sidelong smile.

Celia had no idea what to say. It was always his style to be thorough and meticulous. The only thing she could do was to smile at him.

Although she didn't know what he was up to, it would no doubt be a good thing!

When the car stopped in front of a shop, Celia's jaw dropped slightly in surprise.

They were at...

She looked at him in disbelief, noticing how carefully he unfastened her seat belt with a tender look in his eyes and a slight smile ghosting on his lips.

"I'm sorry. I chose a style for you without consulting you, but you will look beautiful in it."

His smile was flawless, and it was filled with the endless love he had for her.

Celia got out of the car and stared at the wedding dress shop in front of her. The exquisite wedding dresses on display in the windows of the shop had already dazzled her.

"Ron."

Her eyes and her cheeks reddened in response. The surprise and shyness on her face were all soaked up in Ron's eyes.

In this moment, his heart suddenly tightened. He couldn't help but lightly bend his head to kiss Celia's rosy lips.

As the handsome face above her got closer and closer, Celia's heart beat a rapid staccato. Her black eyelashes t

rembled like a butterfly's wings, and she slowly closed her eyes.

But just as their noses were about to touch, another man's cold face suddenly filled her mind.

Even his frosty voice echoed in her ears, which made her tremble all over. She couldn't help but step back, increasing the distance between them.

Suddenly, the situation became a little awkward.

Celia bit her lip and mutely stood there. She lowered her head to avoid Ron's searching eyes.

"Ron..."

As she was still thinking about how to ease the embarrassment, Ron's phone suddenly began ringing.

"Your phone is ringing."

The phone rang for a long time, but it seemed that he didn't want to answer it at all. She could not help reminding him.

It was not until the phone had stopped ringing, and the caller phoned again, that he answered his phone in a somewhat annoyed tone of voice.

"Hey, I know, well... Tell me What? What did you say?"

All of a sudden, his face took on a ghastly expression. His eyes took on a sharp hawk-like expression.

He gripped the phone tightly with one hand and held Celia with another hand, pushing her into the wedding dress shop.

"Celia, tell them my name and they'll know what to do. Please go try on the wedding dress to see if it fits. I have an urgent matter to deal with and have to leave now. I will contact you later. I'm sorry."

After that, he turned around and got in the car without waiting for her to reply.

Instantly, the car raced off, leaving Celia alone, standing stiffly in the wedding dress boutique.

Her lips parted slightly. However, at this moment, she couldn't find the words to express her feelings.

She didn't come to her senses until the shop assistant stepped over to advise her,

"Miss Celia, please follow me to the second floor for makeup."

"Do I need makeup for the fitting?"

"Yes, that's how it works."

The assistant ushered her along with a bright smile on her face, while Celia seemed preoccupied with something.

If Carlos knew where she was...

She trembled at the thought of Carlos's gloomy face.

"Miss Celia, Mr. Ron treats you so well. This wedding dress was specially designed for you and handmade by Mistress Vera Li. I am sure you will like it!"

The assistant warmly introduced the dress to Celia, though Celia had no idea who this master designer was whom they were talking about.

However, then a mannequin was wheeled out, wearing the dreamlike wedding dress that took Celia's breath away.

She quietly walked over and touched the delicate snowy white veil.

Once dressed, she was so beautiful!

"Miss Celia, you have lovely skin and a perfect figure. This wedding dress won't need any adjustment. It's a perfect fit!"

The shop assistants gushed in admiration around Celia.

She was so stunning that there was probably no other woman in the city who could compare with her.

No wonder that, even while the Mo Consortium was in danger, Mr. Ron was still willing to throw a small fortune into a wedding dress for her.

It seemed that the girl was about to get married!

"Miss Celia, although Mr. Ron is not here, you can pose here. We'll take some pictures of you and send them to him!"

the two assistants explained to Celia while taking her to the small dais which was much taller than Celia. Then the two of them drew the curtains of the fitting area open to get better light and then take some photos.

Celia stood there shyly. Once they drew open the curtain, her legs became so weak that she almost tumbled from the stage.

Sitting on the large leather sofa outside, a handsome face with a breathtaking smile came into view.
