Adam chuckled as he patted my shoulder, "I have a good feeling about this. I feel like you will be able to do the best for the group and also, I think you will be able to keep Roy in his limits." He said as I sat quietly in the café where he and I went to have lunch. Cole is supposed to join us as well but he is running late – as usual. I sighed and bowed my head. Why did I have to challenge Roy? If I fail I will have to leave – without the pay! I am doomed. There is no way in hell that I will be able to bring even an ounce of discipline in their lives. And Roy – I am sure he will try doing everything he can to make me fail. He obviously doesn't want me here and now by challenging him – I have given him an opportunity to make sure that I leave. "Will you stop worrying?" Adam chuckled.

I lifted my head up to look at him and narrowed my eyes, "Adam, answer me this please?" I asked him calmly. "For how long Roy has been in this business?" I asked him. He thought about it as he chewed the French fry he just ate and answered after swallowing, "Since became a group so, I will say – eight years." He answered. I sighed and mashed my lips, "So, I, a girl who literally have zero experience in this field, just challenged a guy who has eight years of experience!" I was slowly losing my calm. "Oh God, I will be going back home, aren't I? I will go back and dad will be waiting for me to tell me that he said so. Then I will spend the rest of life getting coffee for different lazy bosses. So, God – I am doomed, aren't I?" I asked him. But before Adam could reply I heard another familiar voice from behind me, "Yes, you are." My eyes widened as Roy walked in and sat on the chair in front of me. I narrowed my eyes as he picked a French fry from the basket resting on the table and winked at me. I gritted my teeth as I so badly wanted to punch the grin off his face. "I love to see how confident you are, " He added sarcastically.

Adam mashed his lips and sighed before he shook his head and asked Roy, "I thought you were not coming?" He said. That is exactly what I was told – he wasn't supposed to be here. Roy glanced at me before he looked Adam and answered, "I wouldn't miss orienting our new "secretary", " He sarcastically made quotes in the air and continued, "Or whatever she is, " he added and grinned. I looked plainly at him but in my mind, I have already killed him a thousand times. I sighed and decided not to engage in conversation with him and turned to look at Adam, "When is Cole coming?" I asked him. Adam sighed and checked his phone, "I don't know. The guy is always late, " He mumbled as he dialed his number and brought his phone to his ear.

Roy sighed and leaned against the chair. I glanced at him. He surprisingly didn't have any bruise on his face today. He was dressed in a grey t-shirt with a black jacket. His hair was tied up in a knot. He didn't shave but his beard wasn't messy – he looked rather clean than the day I first saw him. "Hello, Cole? Where are you, man? We are waiting for you?" Adam talked on the phone. He waited for him to reply before he rolled his eyes and rubbed his eyes. He sighed, "Cole, seriously man – you can't do that." He argued. I knitted my eyebrows and looked at Roy who sniggered and shook his head – looking uninterestedly, "Classic Cole, " He commented. His eyes met mine and he smiled, "Best of luck with him, " He said sarcastically. I sighed and averted my eyes away from him and looked at Adam who was done talking to Cole.

"What happened?" I asked. Adam blew his cheeks and placed his phone on the table. "He is not coming. Apparently, he had to go to a beach party, " He told me. I frowned, "But it is day time, " I said. Roy hunched and placed his elbows on the table, "You see, Miss Pipsqueak, a party can be thrown at any ti

, he dropped me off, showered and changed his clothes before he was gone and I was once again home alone. Cole hasn't been home yet. I would have been worried but Adam told me that he will get from – he knew where he was. But I was still nervous – I don't know how I will do anything of the things that Roy had mentioned at the lunch. Honestly, if Adam would have told me the details of this job and about Roy – I would have seriously considered rejecting this offer. Then I would have been stuck with my old boring job – but at least I would have been certain about my future in the company – here I am dangling by the thread. Why did I have to be so stupid and challenge that jerk?

I was in the kitchen making coffee for myself when the doorbell rang. Thinking it was Adam bring Cole back to home, I walked to the door and opened it. "Hey, it is Emma! My best friend's baby sister!" a very intoxicated Cole hugged me. What I thought was that Adam was supposed to bring him home but instead it was Roy. He looked at me and pointed towards Cole, "He is your job now, " He said. He was about to walk away when Cole lost his balance and fell – bringing me down with him. I tried to keep my balance intact but since Cole was a large man – I couldn't help and fell on the floor – lying under drunk and grinning Cole.

"Oh fucking hell, " I heard Roy cursing before he walked back to us and tried to pull Cole off me who just shrug Roy's hand off and stayed over me with a big grin on his face, "Hi, Emma." He said. The smell of alcohol coming from his mouth was enough to make me gag. I smiled nervously and placed my hands on his hard chest – oh boy, he has grown into a stud. "Uh – Cole, can you please get up?" I asked him softly. His face was awfully close to mine. My cheeks must be turning red. I wasn't used to of getting my crushes so close to me especially in the presences of the people I hate.

Roy once again tried to hold Cole but he once again shrugged his hand off. "For Fuck sakes, Cole – get up." He tried but the man refused to budge. Cole looked straight into my eyes, "You want to know something, Emma?" He asked. I gulped and glanced at Roy who stood behind Cole – trying to get him up on his feet. "I know you had a crush on me." He chuckled. My eyes widened as I heard him say before he passed out – right over me. His words knocked the breath out of my lung. Holy crap, not only he knew but now Roy knows as well. I nervously averted my gaze to look at Roy – who had a huge grin on his face. I gulped – this isn't good.
