"Don't look down on me, mister! I know I can't compare to my mother's cooking at the moment, but I'll be an amazing cook years from now!"

Cassandra snorted with her arms crossed.

"Well then! Go ahead, be my guest. I'm looking forward to tasting it!"

He gestured mockingly, then walked towards to sink to wash the vegetables.

Cassandra breathed a sigh of relief. She then rolled up her sleeves and turned to check the soup pot.

The soup definitely wasn't ready yet, so she turned around and went to prepare other dishes. The kitchen was then filled with the clangs of pots and pans as Cassandra got busy with chopping and cutting.

A few steps away, Rufus was slowly washing the vegetables, taking his sweet time. He watched the petite woman walking all over the place. He enjoyed watching Cassandra indeed.

Millions of people around the world cooked their food over stoves every day, but it was different for him. The average family routine became special when Cassandra was here.

Before he even met her, there wasn't even a speck of dust in his kitchen. He got the best kitchenware in the world, but he never laid a finger on any of them.

But now, the kitchen was at its busiest moment, and he was glad it was. What was more, the woman he loved was the one using it.

Love was indeed a miracle that could change the entire outlook of a person. Because of love, Rufus for the first time in his life, decided to step out of the loneliness he was comfortable with at the top.

He was willing to be in the midst of the heat and smoke as long as Cassandra was here. He would love to spend all their time cooking and then eating together.

Beads of sweat formed on Cassandra's smooth forehead. Seeing this, Rufus

program has been finalized. Please take your mother to the house and show her around. If she likes it, I'll make the payment. And she can proceed to her new production there as well."

Rufus took another bite as he was talking; the way that he kept on eating really warmed Cassandra's heart.

"You are the most thoughtful man I know, Rufus! Thank you for everything! I've never expected to see you agree to live with my parents and sister before!" she said sincerely.

She knew him all too well. Rufus used to be a free spirit, always alone. She never thought she would see the day that he became so family-oriented.

Even if he had already moved in with the Tang Family before, he had never really integrated himself to the family. He was more like a house guest, watching the Tangs come to and fro every day.

Now, to her great surprise, he had finally opened his heart and was ready to spend his life together with her family. Cassandra was incredibly moved.

"What're you talking about? You're my family, and so are they!"

Rufus tapped her nose with the end of his chopsticks and smiled happily as if what he said was no surprise at all.
