Wyatt sighed with relief inwardly. "Yes," he answered. Then he turned around and walked out of the ward without delay. As Wyatt closed the door, he saw Addison sitting down by the side of the sickbed and stretching his hand slowly to touch Sally's pale face gently.

Now that Addison was determined to spend the rest of his life together with Sally, as his shadow, Wyatt could do nothing but try his best to avoid any possible harm to the two of them. With these thoughts in his mind, he closed the door carefully. Then he turned around and strode towards the elevator.

Sometimes a mere night could feel like an entire lifetime, and sometimes it could pass in just the blink of an eye.

When the sky was turning bright in the east, Sally finally woke up from slumber. She caught sight of a light pink wall and sensed the smell of disinfectant fluid in the air. As sensitive as she was, she frowned all of a sudden.

"You're finally awake now?" Addison's deep and captivating voice came through from the side.

Sally turned her head to the direction of his voice. Her eyes met Addison's loving and worried sight. "Where..."

"You're in a hospital," Addison said with a faint smile at the corners of his mouth. "How did you manage to get sick so fast? I was only gone for a few hours. Sally, will you ever stop making me worry about you?"

Addison was giving her an earful, but his voice contained more concern than anything else. Sally's heart twitched abruptly at his words. After pursing her lips, she said, "I..." She tried to explain what had happened yesterday, but it was not until she opened her mouth that she suddenly found that she didn't remember anything at all. She had no idea how she had gotten sick in the first place. She couldn't remember what had happened before that. The last thing she could remember was having lunch.

"Are you

"I... thought I heard a woman's voice. Did I guess it right?" Sally asked finally in embarrassment. She thought that perhaps she was being too sensitive, but she just could not ignore her curiosity.

"Yes, you heard it right. It was a woman," Addison said. "Princess Misa, the daughter of a duke in Y Country." He paused to stare at Sally and then added, "Your rival in love." Addison wasn't born yesterday. He was able to figure out that Misa had special feelings for him.

Struck dumb by his frank answer, Sally's eyes widened as she stared at Addison, not knowing what to do or to say.

Addison pulled her into the apartment and closed the door in the blink of an eye. Pressing her against the door, in a low and hoarse voice, he said, "Sally, you have many rivals in love. But you can set your heart at rest." With a faint smile at the corners of his mouth, he continued, "Because I will resist all of them. I belong only to you." As soon as his words faded away, he smashed his lips to hers, disregarding the rapid change in her mood.
