"I understand it won't be easy for you to forgive me, but there is someone else I want you to forgive. Moore, I am talking about your father. He has been a good father to you and a good son to me. More than ten years ago, your father was in great danger, so I had no other choice but to abandon you. I know that you have hated him all these years for leaving you behind. However, one thing you don't know is that he kept it a secret from you for my sake. So please forgive me for the decision I made years ago. I hope you can understand me. As a father, all I did is try to protect my son. Please forgive me."

After he spoke, Olin cried bitterly. Moore sat still and watched him while he was sobbing in his choked voice.

There was no expression on Moore's face. Instead, it was blank. It seemed like his whole body had become numb. His brain wasn't prepared for this hence he sat still.

All these years he thought he was the most pitiful person but now it turned out that Gary was the one who suffered the most. This piece of information was extremely hard for him to digest.

He looked up and glanced at the old man with grey hair standing in front of him. Seeing him, Moore's words failed him. For few minutes, he stayed silent and tried to regain his composure.

"Forgive your grandfather, Moore! He did this because he had no other choice," Gary persuaded Moore. "Don't be so hard on him because he doesn't have much time left."

Uttering these words, Gary choked with sadness.

"Doesn't have much time left?

What are you trying to say?" Moore demanded while being afraid internally.

Confusedly, his eyes went back and forth from Gary to Olin.

"Your grandfather has only three months left. He has advanced gastric cancer." Gary unfolded the truth with a lump in his throat.

When Moore heard this bad news, he felt a pang of sharp pain in his heart. He felt his eyes blur with tears.

"Gary, I warned you not to tell this to Moore! How can you forget that?" Olin reprimanded Gary as he was unable to watch his grandson in pain. "I don't want anybody to feel sorry for me. I am paying for my bad deeds. If you think about it, this punishment serves me right! I am the one responsible for getting you both separated. Everything is my fault!"

"Grandpa..." Watching Olin blame himself for their mistake, Moore felt so heartbroken.

"Oh my God! Finally, you are willing to speak to me again," Olin exclaimed with full excitement. He gawked at Moore with his loving eyes. Slowly, he stretched out his wrinkled hands to touch Moore's face.

"Grandpa, it's not your fault. I don't care about the past and I am willing to forgive you. I have only one wish and that is for you to be alive. As long as you are alive..."

Moore burst into tears before he could finish his words.

"Silly child, I still have a few months left. I want to make good use of these last days by spending it with my favorite

realized what Jean was hinting.

"Bingo!" Jean replied with a smile.

"I guess it was Gary who asked him to go upstairs. He probably wants to reveal the truth to Moore!" Zed uttered with a contemplative look.

"Maybe! Otherwise, he wouldn't have sent the waiter to call Moore for a private talk. But it has been a long time since he went upstairs. We have no idea about what is happening now," Jean said sounding a little anxious.

"That's true. I am so worried about him!" replied Avery, unable to take it any longer. She wanted to know what was taking so long.

Just when the three of them were racking their brains for an explanation, a voice came and snapped them back to reality.

Jean frowned when she heard her name. She clearly knew who the voice was coming from and her cheeks flushed red.

Zed followed Jean's gaze and found a young man in a blue suit who seemed to be walking towards them.

His face was beaming with joy and it was evident that he was excited about meeting Jean. Analyzing him, Zed realized he was a man full of vigor and vitality.

"Who is he?" questioned Zed in a doubtful tone.

"He is the person because of whom we quarreled last night," Jean retorted, looking indifferent.

To an outsider, she seemed calm and composed but she was worried internally.

'I didn't know Ronald was such a persistent man. If I had known that, I would have told him about my marriage yesterday.

I am such a big fool! How did I forget to mention such an important matter?

Jesus Christ! Zed is here too. Now things are going to get worse. I might have to tolerate another fight. What should I do now?' Jean thought while she reprimanded herself for her stupidity.

"Jean..." Ronald ran up to Jean and gasped slightly. "You are here too! Come with me! Let me introduce you to my aunt."

"Well, there's no need of an introduction. I already know her," Jean refused curtly with an awkward smile.
