Maranda looked at Jean with great expectation in her eyes. Jean found herself in an impossible situation with no way out. She felt herself give in and sighed within herself. Looking at Maranda, she forced a smile on her face and nodded agreeing.

Maranda clapped her hands with delight and smiled through teary eyes.

When Jean returned home to the Qi Mansion, she paced the room back and forth, troubled by the predicament that she had gotten herself into.

'Both events are happening around the same time. When Maranda and Ron get married next month, Zed and I will be in the Imperial Capital with Zed's parents.

We can't just leave Grandpa Benjamin, father and mother and run back to H City to attend Maranda's wedding.

But I have just promised Maranda that I would attend her wedding. I'm in a real dilemma!

Neither side can be offended and neither side can be refused!' Jean tried to come up with a satisfactory solution in her head, but it was no use.

It was late in the afternoon and Jean was still no closer to an answer. By this stage, she had gotten herself into quite a state with worry. She hadn't even noticed that Zed had come home.

Zed walked up to her and caressed her head. He could see that she was flustered. "What's wrong, dear?"

"Zed, you're back!" Jean responded fretfully.

"What on earth has got you so worked up?" Zed asked as he playfully tapped her nose with his finger.

"I had tea with Maranda this afternoon. She told me that they had chosen their wedding date," Jean exhaled loudly. "It's on the 20th of next month!" she said, dejected.

"On the 20th of next month?" repeated Zed as if in thought. "Is that what's worrying you so much?" Zed smiled with calmness on his face.

"Yes! We have already made plans that we would go to the Imperial Capital and stay with your parents for some time. But Maranda's wedding is also scheduled around the same time. I have been trying to think of what to do all afternoon." Jean looked up at Zed, her eyebrows furrowed with worry. "What do you think we should do?"

He had to chuckle when he saw her sweet face scrunched up like that. "That's not a problem, okay? We can still go to the Imperial Capital after Maranda and Ron's wedding."

"Are you sure that would be all right?" Jean looked at Zed and asked with some doubt in her voice.

Zed comforted her with a gentle smile, "What's wrong with that? We will still go to the Imperial Capital. We will just have to tell grandpa, mother and father to wait a few more days, that's all.

You can rest assured. As long as I call them and speak to them about

of stressing her further. But he was more aware of the consequences of not telling her, so he continued to tell her the truth.

'She will find out sooner or later anyway, ' he thought as he let out a deep sigh.

"He seems to have been in a fight.

But don't worry. They all suffered only superficial trauma. There's nothing seriously wrong with either side,"

Zed added quickly to comfort her. "A fight? What the hell is going on? For what reason would Moore have to fight with someone? He hasn't fully recovered yet. He wouldn't have even been strong enough to defend himself.

Zed, let's go see him. I'm afraid he will..."

Jean was in a hurry to leave. She grabbed Zed's hand and headed for the door. "Hey, slow down." Zed pulled back slightly and rested both of his hands on her shoulders, turning her to face him.

He gently cupped her face with both of his hands. "Moore really is okay." He then held her hand to reassure her, "Adolf and the others were all there when it happened. They managed to pull them apart before anyone got seriously hurt."

Jean's face softened for a moment and then her eyebrows furrowed in anger. "If I knew who attacked Moore, he would feel my wrath!" she said, tightening her grip on his hand. Zed pressed his lips together. "We should go to the hospital and see Moore first. I heard that Moore was the one that caused the fight. So let's find out what actually happened before we start making any decisions."

Zed sighed. "What?" Jean's eyes widened. She looked at Zed in disbelief.

"Moore was the first one to stir up trouble?" "That's what I was told, but I'm not sure about the details," Zed answered with a bitter smile. "When we get to the hospital, we will find out."
