"Daddy, go and get Mom!" Clark never gave up believing that his parents would get back together. His age didn't stop him from believing.

Charles looked at Clark, seemingly deep in thought. Suddenly, he grinned.

"Okay, I'm on my way now." Charles planted a kiss on each of his kids' foreheads. Then he quickened his pace as he headed to the guest bedroom.

Charles made sure he was quiet, so Sheryl didn't hear him.

He was relieved when he saw that she was sleeping.

He made his way to Sheryl and lay down next to her. He gently pulled her into his arms. She stirred slightly, which made Charles nervous. Fortunately, she didn't wake up.

It had been so long since they had last snuggled with each other.

Charles slept well for the rest of the morning. For some reason, Sheryl did too. They both felt safe and comfortable.

That night, Sheryl had had a dream. In her dream, she and Charles had gotten back together, and they were both happy.

It was going to be a good day. Sheryl slowly opened her eyes.

She lifted one hand to block her the sunlight from her face. She immediately dodged to the side when she realized that there was someone right next to her.

Charles was already awake, and he had been gently gazing at Sheryl since he'd woken up.

Sheryl grew embarrassed under his gaze. She looked away, trying to avoid his eyes. After a while, she suddenly said angrily, "What are you doing here?"

"It's Clark and Shirley. They wanted us to make up, and they asked me to do this," Charles answered simply.

Sheryl couldn't help but look at Charles upon the mention of their kids.

"Sheryl, I know you're probably angry. I wouldn't blame you if you were, but I promise you that this time will be different, and it won't happen again. Would you please give me another chance?" Charles looked at Sheryl tenderly. He looked quite sincere.

Sheryl kept averting her gaze–she knew if she met his eyes, she wouldn't be able to resist him.

"President Lu, kindly go out first as I need to change my clothes," Sheryl said coldly as she glared at Charles.

Charles had never seen Sheryl behave like this.

arrassed as she couldn't hold back her smile upon seeing Charles so happy.

Three days later. They were at the airport.

Isla and Aron had been waiting for half an hour. After a while, Nick and Cassie arrived.

"Isla, has Sheryl arrived already?" Cassie quickly ran to Isla, grabbing her hand. She was out of breath.

Nick had picked Cassie up from work. They were running because they had thought they were going to be late. Now she was sweaty all over.

"Look at you! You must have run all the way here!" Isla reprimanded.

Cassie flushed upon hearing this. She lifted her hand to wipe the sweat off her forehead. "It's okay. I didn't want to be late."

"Don't worry. You're not late. She hasn't arrived yet. We're all early," Isla said impatiently.

She really hated waiting, but Sheryl was the only person she was willing to do it for.

"Isla, why don't you sit down first and rest? Sheryl will be here soon. Let's just relax!" Aron consoled Isla.

"What do you know? I haven't seen her in so long. How can I relax?"

Isla was restless. She couldn't control herself. If she was being honest, she didn't even know why she was nervous in the first place.

Nick pulled Cassie into his arms as they sat quietly, waiting.

Everyone had only well-wishes for Sheryl. They just wanted her to be happy. However, when it came to Charles, they knew they couldn't say anything as it was only her decision.
