"I'm going to go swim indoors, " I tell Emilia, standing and dusting off the sand from my backside and hands before leaving, casting her a smile.

Hands in my pocket, I scroll easily back into the hotel. Loren shoots me a flirtatious smile as I walk past the reception desk. Annoyed, I give a small head nod her way before continuing on my way down the hallways. Making turns, I push double doors that open easily.

I walk around the large pool and into the room with the door that had the word, 'men, ' on it. I take off my white T-shirt and shorts and put on my simple black swim shorts. My hair unkempt but not entirely bad looking, I run my fingers through it, tugging as I looked at myself in the mirror.

Smiling for a brief second, I exit the changing room and head out to the swmming pool. No one was here, it was only me so it was quiet but I didn't mind it. The peace and quiet gave me some time to think about things.

Chairs lined up the right side of the pool while the other side was empty with nothing but air and white tiles on the ground. The water was clean and blue with chlorine inside unlike the ocean water that was fresh and a beautiful crystal blue in the sunlight.

Diving instantly, I feel the cool water against my warm skin. Refreshed and enjoying the feeling, I swim back up to the surface. Gathering air back into my lungs, I shake my head allowing the water to scatter off my hair and into different directions. I flop on my back and swim backwards on my back.

I lay back on the water for a while, staring up at the ceiling. I felt my stomach squeeze as I thought of Emilia. I felt like she was lying to me but what reasons would she have to lie to me? She would never lose her wedding ring that meant so much to her. She would never be that careless, I knew she'd cherish the ring.

I had enough of swimming after swimming for four laps back and forth. Getting out, water drips off me and onto the tiled pool ground. Shaking my hair of the water, I sigh shortly. I enter the boys changing room. Facing the mirror, I run a hand through my wet hair, checking my fa

d and Emilia came in. I noticed she was here and looked up. She forced a smile that I didn't reciprocate. I stood, walking towards her until I was directly in front of her. I looked into her eyes as she looked into mine. I couldn't even stand to look at her, I averted my eyes. My eyes drifted towards my pockets where the ring was kept.

Putting one hand in my pocket, I take my hand out and hold the ring. Her eyes widen and I felt my hurt break as she looked like she was caught. So what Sean said must've been true. It was so heartbreaking I became overwhelmed with anger.

"Surprised?" I snap.

"I-"

I drop the ring and go to step on it but pause. My eyes showing how hurt I was. Even if I wanted to step on the ring, I couldn't because it still meant so much. Instead, I take a step back.

"I guess this marriage means nothing to you, " I say softly, coldly.

"I'm sorry, " she whimpered quietly.

"For what?" I scoff bitterly, "cheating on me with Sean and not actually giving a damn about our recent marriage?"

"What are you talking about?" she whispers in confusion.

"Forget it, " I snap.

I go to leave but she grabs hold of my arm with a pleading look on her face. I rip my arm from her hold and leave. As I walk away angrily, I retreat down to the lobby and find comfort in the couch area.

As I fall asleep, I can't help but feel like things might truly be ending.
