"What a sight!" Said a familiar voice suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere. "Watching a man like you drinking tea from a dainty little cup! And, it's got flowers on it!"

Adam looked up to see a tall handsome man in a Space Fleet uniform with Captain's bars on the shoulders. He casually put the cup back into its saucer on the table.

"Well, you know my reputation." Adam quipped back. "Apparently."

"Indeed I do." Said Mykl, as he pulled a chair away from the table and sat down diagonally opposite him. "It's been months and I still don't know what to call you." He grinned.

"Lots of that going around lately!" Adam smiled. After all, he didn't even know what to call himself anymore. "What are you doing here? I thought I was off the hook."

"I heard the local law enforcement had a little trouble a few days ago." Mykl smiled. "Your name came up, grabbed my attention."

"Yes, the Sherriff did turn a little pale when he ran my prints against your database." Adam nodded. "Still, you didn't come all the way out here to check out local law enforcement on this vile little pebble?" He smiled. "Or to have a chat – as nice as it is to see you, did you?"

Mykl smiled back in his friendly, disarming manner. Even though they had started out as enemies a little more than three months ago, it somehow felt good to see him again. They'd been through a really tough mission to

down!" Mykl grinned, relaxing back into the simple yet comfortable plastic chair. "It's also a damn sight better than 'Blachart'. I know it's a surname as well, but I'm not even sure if it's your real surname?"

"Er – neither am I." Adam said evasively. There had been no record of the man's birth name or lineage in the Terran database – and the Corsairs had destroyed their central database during the invasion of Meradinis so the Terrans couldn't get their hands on it. Blachart's past – other than what he told, or what his DNA told – was his own secret. Only Adam knew his real, original name – and it sure as hades wasn't Blachart the Bloody. As far as Mykl was concerned, he could keep it too – it was his own business, just as long as he stayed retired as a Corsair.

"Adam Blachart." Mykl said, trying the name on for size. "It suits you, especially since you shaved your beard. Makes you look a lot younger."
