Ellie Hensworth:

SCHOOL. If there was something I hated more than pineapple on pizza, it was school.

I woke up early, ensuring I had time to have a hot shower and wash my hair.

I decided to wear a dress, it was a dark blue and came just above my knees. I wore shorts underneath and put on some golden sandals. I put in my contacts and put my hair in a fishtale braid before putting on some eyeliner, mascara and lipgloss (after brushing my teeth).

I decided not to get anything for breakfast and left with my phone and keys in my hand.

"Hey" I try to smile when i see Charlie.

"Hi" he returns the smile.

I turn around and ignore the fact he was staring at me, but he spoke just before I got in my car.

"Yes Charlie?" I ask, I wasn't sure If I would ever forget what pauses he and Joel caused me. I wanted to ask questions. Why weren't they friends anymore?

"I usually wouldn't ask but do you mind giving me a ride to school. My car is getting fixed" he asks and I nodded, thinking this is the perfect opportunity to ask him.

"Sure" I say.

Being in a car with him, being that close was awful. He was so close to me, so close and even if I wanted him closer, I had to get away.

Charlie bullied me, he was my bully.

"Why aren't you and Joel friends?" I ask, I'm sure I sounded curious because he looked over at me and let out a small, soft sigh.

"Ellie, you've missed so much" he whispers, his voice cracking, "but I can't tell you. At least not yet. Joel hurt me and has his secrets" he adds in a small voice.

"What did I miss... I- I don't understand Charlie" I stutter, pulling into the car park of the school.

Charlie and I stay put in our seats for a while.

"If I tell you the main reason this all blew up, you have to promise you won't tell anyone" he says, letting out a sigh.

"I promise Charlie" I say honestly.

"The reason we aren't friends anymore is because... Joel's gay" he says. I never expected Joel to be gay, I had no problem with anyone's sexuality, but Joel had an endless list of girls he slept with. "I'm not against it, but he liked me. And I said no because I'm straight" he says.

"My god, it must be horrible to lose someone who you w

ere so close to" I say sympathetically.

"No Ellie. Joel is a bad Person. He has done things that are unforgivable. He hurt me, he hurt me really bad Ellie. I can't tell you why right now, maybe another time" Charlie sums up, looking at me blankly.

"I'm here for you" the soft tone of my voice surprises me and I see the smallest smile appear on his lips.

Charlie looked distraught, and I didn't like it.

I always thought I would like to see the people who caused my life to be hell to suffer but I hate it. I hate that Charlie looked as though he would burst out crying. I hate the guilty look he has when he looks at me.

He obviously feels bad for what he had done, and he also had a hard time when I was gone but that doesn't mean I'm going to forgive him in a blink of an eye.

Probably should start off as friends.

I get out the car, shutting the door behind me and Charlie copies.

I head to the reception, receiving many looks but I wasn't prepared to face everyone just yet.

"Here you go luv" the receptionist chews obnoxiously on her gum, her british accent ruins the silence in the halls.

"Thank you" I say politely before I find my locker.

I put my books away before I begin to wander around the school, trying to get familiar with it.

I had Dance first which means I'll either be partnered up or working on my own. I hoped it was the latter.

I walk into the studio, a few minutes early. I saw two students already in a rehearsal room and I smiled as I walked to the dance teacher.

"Hello sir. I'm Ellie. Today is my first day" I smile politely.

"Hello Ellie" he smiled, shaking my hand, "you are actually just in time, we are practising for a dance project at the end of term. A young man names charlie hasn't got a partner yet so you'll have to be with him" he says and I nod my head.

"Is there a certain theme for the dance?" I ask and he nodded his head.

"Well, it's not a theme but it has to have a storyline. A romance for example- someone in distress and their significant other helps" he nods his head.

"Okay thank you" I smile and he nodded.

"And Ellie, I'm Mr Pertsworth. I hope you have a good day" he smiled.

"Thank you Mr Pertsworth, you too"
