Ellie Hensworth:

I HATE WHEN people decide it would be funny to mock someone because of how they were or how they looked. Sure, I wasn't the prettiest or skinniest girl in the school but that doesn't give anyone a reason to pick on someone. Surprisingly, Charlie's words never got to me, I didn't let them. Why would I? He is just a boy- sure he was extremely good looking with his icy blue eyes and brown hair- but nonetheless he meant nothing to me.

"Here she is" Joel comments. He was Charlie's best friend. He usually helped with the pranks and jokes but, again, I didn't let it get to me. I know that I was beautiful in my own way. I may have not been physically but I was another way. Everyone was beautiful in their own way. And Charlie and Joel- they were doing a beautiful job of winding me up.

"I don't want to look at her" Charlie chuckled to his friend, his eyes masked with pain and regret before he looked at me blankly. His brown hair fell into his eyes as he looked down, he looked in pain or hurt but why should I care? He has been nothing but a pain in the ass.

"Then don't" I snap, my temper began rising. Today was not the day. Thank god it was my last day, I mean I have always joked around with their pranks but today I was not in the mood.

"Ooh, she talks" Charlie replied, his eyes showed pain again for a second before they went blank and he smirked.

"Yeah, that's what communication is" I say sarcastically. My eyes automatically go to the clock to see it was 3:30pm. This is the last time I will see him for 2 years anyway.

I was only 15 and now going to live with my mother and her boyfriend until I'm 17.

My mother and father split up and got a divorce and when I was just 12 years old. My mother walked out on my abusive father and left me behind. I didn't know whether to be more hurt that she got up and left me with a dangerous man. Besides, I couldn't wait to get away from here and away from Joel.

I remember when Joel tripped me up, Charlie stayed behind and helped me when Joel left. I don't know why but he seemed to always help me and show pain when he 'hurts' me emotionally.

"Why are you speaking back now?" Joel steps forward, his lips turned into a big smirk. I don't know where it came from but with a boost of confidence, I smirked.

"You'll see" I say and spin on my heel before walking down the corridors. I hear the slapping of shoes against the floor and I look to see Charlie chasing me.

"What do you mean?" He asked quietly, shoving his hands in his pockets. He looked sad but I didn't care. It was probably one of his acts.

"Why do you care Charlie? Wake the fuck up, you and Joel have been bullying me for years!" I snap, completely losing my cool with him.

I'm done with both of them. I don't care if Charlie stays back to help me, he still participated in the bullying.

I saw a look of pain and

regret mask his face.

"I'm-" He started but I cut him off.

"Save your breath Charlie. I'm so completely fed up with your shit" I say. I felt all the anger built up.

Anger for my parents, for the bullying, for the abuse.

"But I'm-" He started again.

"Oh no, you think I want your apology now?" I laugh humorlessly, "I need to go, I'm going to be late" I say and begin to walk again.

"I'm so-" he started but I cut him off.

"No!" I snap, "I don't want your apology, shove it up your ass" I spit before walking out the school doors.

Finally I was free, I was free from abuse, I was free from bullying and most importantly, I was free from Charlie Winters and Joel Davis.

** 2 years later**

"Bye" I wave with a smile as I get out of the car. The sun was shining brightly as I shut the door and walk through the park.

Not a thing had changed.

It was a nice day today, it was really hot, hence why I was wearing shorts and a crop top, and I smiled as the breeze blew my thick stands of, now, red hair over my shoulder. I'll admit, the last time I was here I was a push over, I never stuck up for myself.

Now, however, I've lost weight, got contacts instead of glasses (not that there was anything wrong with glasses) and died my hair red. I was finally happy.

Those 2 years weren't amazing. I got bullied at my new school worse than here and it made me fall into a state of depression. I'm completely over that now.

I put my sunglasses on my head, looking around before I bumped into a chest.

The arms wrapped around my waist, saving me from falling.

"Thank you so much" I smile, getting out of the strangers arms. I was curious and looked to see who it was.

"Holy shit" The words left before I could stop them.

No way was my ex bully- Charlie Winters- the first boy (that's kind of cute) I met.

"I know I'm hot but you don't need to swear" He says, his eyes seemed to show a lot of pain.

"You don't know who I am, do you?" I smirk, my hand resting on my hip as I tilted my head to the side. My heels made me a little taller and I was at eye level with him.

This is quite funny.

"Should I?" He asked and I nodded, checking my black nails like I was bored.

"Yeah, well you should. That doesn't mean I'm going to tell you though" I laugh. Is this being mean because I'm having to much fun to care.

"Who are you?" He asked, his eyes widen like he figured it out.

"Holy fuck! Ellie Hensworth?" His jaw dropped when I nodded and I smirked.

"Yep" I laugh. His reaction is amazing. I saw his eyes light up and his face brighten.

"You're back?" He questions, his voice full of awe and excitement.

"I said it before and I'll say it again. Why the fuck do you care?" I ask with a smirk, walking away and in the direction of my brand new apartment, "Oh and thanks for catching me" I wink before I completely walk away.
