Recap:

Riley, I'm coming for you.

------------------------------------------------------

Cameron's POV:

Loading my guns, sharpening my knives, I started getting ready for a bloodbath. Afterward, I went to my car, putting my jacket on the passenger seat. I am going to make whoever took my girlfriend pay. Off to the warehouse.

~Warehouse~

Walking inside, I was cautious and quiet. My gaze fell on Riley, tied up with duck covering her mouth.

"Ah, you made it, " a small voice rang.

"What do you want?"

"Simple, these streets being my stomping grounds and gangs bowing to me. All of that could be done with your assistance.."

I chuckled. "Now, that's not happening."

"Do it for the sake of your precious love. It's either you help us or she dies, " I chuckled again, knowing what they're doing is stupid, unfazed by the empty threat.

"Give me one reason why I should help you."

"I gave birth to you so you don't have a choice."

"If you're my mother, then she wouldn't stoop this low to rule the streets." I fired back.

Then the person was revealed. It really was my mother. The woman that left me with an incompetent, irresponsible fool.

"Mom?"

"Hi, son. You have a decision to make." She held a knife to Riley's neck.

"Do anything to her, this place will turn to ash along with everyone it, " I spat, staring into her eyes.

"I see exactly why you don't talk about your family much, Cameron. Your mother is sick and twisted, " Riley sat still, not even a flinch.

"She gets it from my dad sadly. I'm not doing this, mom, " I looked at mom, showing that I meant every word I said.

"I guess you've made your decision. Boys, kill her, " there was a smirk on her face. I watched her attempt to kill Riley.

I slipped behind her, grabbing her hand that held the knife, and knocked it out of her hand. I placed the knife on her neck, watching her closely. With a quick nod, men attempted their attack.

They halted. "You touch her, she'll just be another body I had on my list."

She laughed. "You're bluffing, boy. You don't have it in you. You won't kill your own mother."

"I don't have a mother, " I retorted. With a few strokes, each man collected a knife to their head. I let her go, feeling her tremble, her body shaking, eyes slightly widened. "

"Ready?"

"Yeah, I've been anxious to hit someone lately."

Their bodies laid to rest in their puddles of blood, Riley and I stood over them like old times.

"You-" the door busted open.

Suddenly, someone in a mask arrived. What the hell is going on?!

"Please, please, I- I don't want to die, " she pleaded.

"I won't. Mom, stop this. Stop everything that you're doing. The streets aren't something that people can have power over. Why did we have to meet this way? Why would you want to go down this road?" I preach to her.

"All I wanted was to find you. All I wanted was to see my son again. That's why I started this. I started this because I thought Tyson had you and the only way to find him was to be in a gang or create one."

"I wasn't with dad. If you looked long and hard enough you would've found out that I was missing, " I protested.

"Don't get smart with me, Cameron! I'll have them kill her!" Her tongue slipped, as my head snapped towards her.

"Go ahead, make them kill her, " I was showing a side she had never seen. They took her orders.

"Please like you have the guts to kill someone."

I laughed. "I don't need to prove myself to you, mother. You can believe whatever you want. I will give you this warning. You don't know me. You don't know what I had to go throug

h. So, I suggest you tame your mouth.."

One by one, they were all dead, her eyes widen again. A merciless smile graced the corners of my mouth, as their bodies dropped to the floor.

"In the name of the Australian law, stop whatever you're doing, now!"

"Stay out of this, Amber! This isn't any of your business."

I tied up mom and the person in the mask was revealed. It was a girl. Someone that looked slightly like mom as if they were related.

"This is my business, mom. You asked me to follow him and to kidnap the girl! And to think this guy is your son."

"He's not only my son but your older brother."

Instantly it felt like time froze into place. I was shocked. I just found out that I have a younger sister following in mom's footsteps. Riley was just as shocked as I was.

"That guy is my brother?! How could do you?!"

She sighed. "I only did it protect you, Amber."

"Protect me from what?! Finding out that my mother lied to me about having a brother?! You told me that he was dead!"

"Don't you dare speak to me that way! I lied about him to protect you so your Tyson wouldn't know about you!"

I laughed. "Here we go again with the lies. That's all this family is good at. Lying. Unfortunately, you were a little sloppy, mother."

"That's not the point, Cameron."

"Come on, babe. Let's go. I have to take your home so your dad doesn't worry about you too much."

"Wait, aren't you going to squash your family problems?"

"I will eventually. Right now isn't the time."

"Okay."

Then we left.

Amber's POV:

There he was. The boy in mom's locket next to me. That was my big brother. The one mom claimed to be dead.

I headed to the door only to hear her clear her throat.

"Where are you going?" she asked.

"Somewhere I need to be alone."

I left without saying another word to her. This is why our family is so angry with each other. We all seem to lie to each other and become abusive drug addicts. Thankfully that's not me. I started fighting to let some steam out since everyone in my family just seems to enjoy keeping me in the dark for just about everything.

I think I need some time to think about this. Finding out that I have an older brother that I didn't know about is a lot to take in. I can't blame Cameron for leaving. I would've done the same thing. Wait, I'm doing that right now.

Cameron's POV:

Other than finding out that I have a little sister, I managed to get Riley home safe and sound. This is why my family doesn't get along. This is why I never talk about them much. Someone is always lying about something or turned into a drug addict like my irresponsible, deadbeat father. After leaving that warehouse, I started thinking. Why would she lie to her own daughter about having an older brother? Why would she mention dad being after me?

Unless he escaped jail and started looking for me. This is going to be one of hell of a week. Not only that, I have a proposal to prepare for and half the week has already past. Tomorrow is Friday and that's when everything I ordered for the proposal arrives. Saturday is when I'll propose so I need help decorating the backyard for that night. After that, I propose and wait for her reaction.

Then everyone will be happy. Now, I have to keep an eye out for my dad in case he escaped jail. The jail he's in is flooded with security. There's no way for him to get out. That's if he's lucky and it'll never happen. I hope not.
