~Riley~

I knew that voice, the face. It was Carlos for sure. He was back, not to confront us but his own father. It must be hard doing your job especially if it means putting your own father in federal prison for the rest of his life.

He had a strong grip on his father who was fighting him to get to Cameron.

"May I?" Cameron asked him.

"Go ahead. I'm getting tired of watching him struggle out of my grip, " he premitted nonchalantly.

With a strong right hook, Cameron's hand connected with Nathan's jaw. Nathan was out faster than the flash. His body fell into Carlos' arms losing the fight to escape him.

Carlos put the handcuffs ready to take him out.

"Before you put him bars, at least let him watch his plan backfire, " I suggested.

"Hmm, that's a good idea, " he agreed. "When is the fight?"

"I don't know. We never finalized any date for it, " I answered.

"Check his desk. He should have a date since he plann

ght. You know that."

"I know you will, babe, " he said. "It's just your attitude has been different since finding out the truth. The real truth."

"When nathan wakes up, he'll how much I'm capable of. He'll see how dangerous I can be. I'll make him look me in the eye when I end all of this, " I vowed and Cameron smiled a little.

His arm snaked around my waist pulling me to close to him. We stared into each other's eyes. His showed the same emotions that mine were; pain, betrayal, worry and anger all mixed into a combustable combination.

His soft lips met mine. "I love you, Riley."

"I love you too, Cameron."
