I was in the middle of the room while all the other kids stood against the wall, watching intently.

"What're you going to do, Isabella?" The man taunting with a cocky smirk on his face. It didn't look good on him, he was too old to try and be cool. He held my violin in his fat hands, threatening to drop it.

"Just give me the violin, " I said calmly, balling my fists at my sides. He started to dance around like the lunatic he was and I glared at him. He was one of the researchers and he was wearing a lot of padding; probably because he knew how dangerous I was. Especially when I was angry or provoked. This man was making sure I was both.

When I did nothing to strike at him, he threw me what seemed to be one of the most evil expressions I'd ever seen on a man's face. One by one, his fingers released the violin from his grip. I dove for it, but it hit the ground before I could reach it. Pieces of wood flew in all directions and I covered my face just as a small splinter hit my hand. I grimaced and pulled it out, looking down upon my broken violin.

I looked around at the rest of the children who's faces showed no emotion. My sadness was overcome by rage as I stood up and ground my teeth against each other. The man smiled evilly as he took the bow and rubbed the horse hair against his hand with unabashed joy. How could someone be so happy, causing someone so much pain?

"Stop, you're ruining it!" I exclaimed, running at him to grab the bow from his grasp. It was as if I was the bull and the bow was the red blanket that he was wielding to control me. I practically growled as I pounced once more. He wasn't expecting it, bas

itted, grinning. To my surprise, he returned my smile with one of his own, revealing his straight white teeth. I frowned and looked away.

"What's wrong?" He asked me sounding genuinely concerned which concerned me to some extent.

"Well, aside from being stranded in the Atlantic Ocean, two things, " I began, a smile returning to my face. "One, you're not silently brooding and it's concerning me. Two, you're teeth are too perfect, just like the rest of you."

His eyes widened at that and so did mine. "Suffixation, I just drowned, the oxygen hasn't returned to my brain yet, " I covered quickly, then looking away and hoping he couldn't see my blush through the darkness.

"Well, " Grayson started with a cocky smirk on his face, "you're pretty perfect yourself."y eyes flew to his face to check to see if his was messing with me. Lo and behold, his face was dead serious, aside from the small friendly smile on his perfect lips.

"Thanks, " I murmured, unsure of what to say. I didn't know how to react to him being so nice and... not cold and distant. Then again, I'm not complaining.
