It turns out that the bus took me back to school, and the demons wouldn't shut up.

She played you, son.

I like her.

So you mentioned.

I got off the bus and decided to go home. It was about 12:30 and I was starving. When I got home, I could still smell the ash and faint perfume from Mary. I ran a hand through my hair and untaped my wings. The familiar stinging was there as I removed the sticky thing from my feathers.

Once the tape was off, I stretched my wings and went to the cupboard.

And I thought I was supposed to be the evil one.

I mean, I'm proud of you, but damn.

What are you talking about?

I'm talking about Mary.

I closed my eyes, sighing. Kicking her out was the wrong thing to do, but I didn't have a choice did I? I made some soup and took a seat on my bed, turning the TV on. Same bullshit news and politicians fucking everyone over, boring. I changed the channel and more news came on.

Another child went missing today from Kentucky county, one of many. Three more bodies have been found and police are beginning to wonder if we have a serial killer on our hands. Police are warn-

I shut off the tv and took a few bites of my noodles. I wanted to ask my dad where he was, but Lilith told me not to think about it- oops.

Your mother told you I escaped?

I sighed, haven't you?

When I learn how to go about escaping the pits of hell, I'll come see you. How'd she tell you I escaped?

A letter.

You idiot, don't you see?

I frowned and glared at the floor, because where else was I supposed to focus my anger. What?

You can't send a fucking letter from the pits of hell, are you that thick?

I didn't bother replying because I knew he was right. The letter, the lack of communication, the news report. Wow, getting played by your mom hurts more than you think.

Frowning, I thought, so what does she want then?

Children, obviously.

Wow, thanks. Why now though? And how long until the Angels put her pack into hell?

Please, the Angels are too high up on their mighty horse to notice. They'd only come running if they saw their world

"Go where?" She almost perked up, but she tried to hide it.

"Don't ask dumb questions." I stated, rolling my eyes.

"Let me grab my stuff." She muttered, turning around. She picked up a mug, a newspaper, and burnt blanket before turning back to me. "Normally I'd be more hesitant, but I have no where else to go, so..."

"Yeah, sorry about that." I said, rubbing my neck awkwardly.

"Well, it's not like you can change the past." She paused for a moment, "Wait, can you?" I scoffed before walking away. I could hear her bare feet on the sidewalk and I groaned.

I turned around to face her and lead her into an alley. "Is this my death?" I ignored her. I took off my shirt and handed it to her. "Woah, at least take me on a date first." She eyes my chest appreciatively though. I rolled my eyes and grabbed her in my arms, carrying her bridal style. With that, I unwrapped my wings. I heard her gasp, but I ignored it and took off into the sky.

It was a far walk as it was, let alone in bare feet. I flew us back to my place and Mary seemed to be in shock the entire time, hardly even breathing. At one point I grew concerned, but occasionally she'd arch her neck, assuring me that she was still alive.

What a day.

So... Team Mary or team Tiana?

Somebody sauce me a compliment. Lmao jkjkjkjk

Say something and if it makes me laugh, I'll tag you in the next chapters.
