Anissa gawked at Shehryaar in utter shock and disbelief.

He....he....broke me....because he didn't get what he wanted? She thought. She couldn't believe how abnormal he was in the head.

He did all those things to me simply because he couldn't get me? She thought as she looked at him. His eyes, the grey changed to teal, were so soft and gentle as he looked at her.

I had saved his life? She thought and her mind quickly recalled that night from two years ago. It was two weeks after she had gotten raped by her classfellow sherjeel. She had found a man bleeding to death as she passed by an alley when she was headed home. She couldn't clearly see his face because of the dark. and it fled out of her mind because of the traumatic event that she had went through.

I had saved his life. but instead of being grateful, he took revenge on me? Me? She couldn't fathom what he thought in that psychotic head of his.

Her thoughts came to a screeching halt when Shehryaar took her hands back into his. Cold chills ran down her spine at his touch. She felt like every nerve ending shocked her and made her skin crawl.

She didn't know what she was suppose to think about it.

Her heart was thundering in her chest. Her blood ran cold, chilling her to the bone.

Her mind was completely numb as she stared at Shehryaar.

Her back was already resting against the headboard of the bed, her head met with it with a thud as her body went limp.

She felt all her energy drain.

"For a whole year, he kept me away from you. I grew to hate him for it. I grew more aggressive and resentful everyday." He continued talking, his eyes trained on her empty fingers. A part of him wondered where her engagement and wedding rings had gone to but at the moment, more important things needed his attention.

"I felt betrayed. I don't tolerate betrayal. It's the ultimate form of treachery. And he was my brother, he was suppose to be loyal to me. But he wasn't. He ended up betraying me. He knew that I wanted you. He should've understood but he didn't. He betrayed me and that betrayal fucked me over. It fucked up my pride. I grew more obsessive and in my obsession, I wanted revenge against you. I wanted to hurt you. That's why I did what I did to you. I wanted to break and shatter the very woman that my brother had fallen for. I wanted to prove him wrong. He feared that I would corrupt you. So I did just what he feared. He wanted you for your goodness but I wanted my darkness to consume you.

"So, when I finally got you, I decided to tie you down to me that's why I was so adament on marrying you. Don't mistake my claims though; you became my wife and thus my queen, only mine. I never wanted anything less. But however, in order for you to meet my standards and expectations, I needed to break you down and mold you into the woman of my choice. My brother's choice and appraise in your qualities only warranted me to have them removed and replaced by my choice.

"And when i married you, i would feel my heart beat increase. My blood would rage in my veins whenever I would touch you. My attraction and desire for you grew tenfold. And I started to feel emotions I had never felt before. I was raised as an unfeeling man. I wasn't taught how to properly channel my emotions. I wasn't taught anything clo

est traits and will remain with you." He claimed softly, his eyes trained in her hands, his thumb drawing lazy patterns on the dorsum of her hand. His guilt didn't allow him to gaze into her eyes.

"Shahzeb. That miserable fucker. I did what needed to be done to him. Shahzeb got what he deserved. He shouldn't have tried to take you away from." He stated bitterly.

Does....does he mean.....he killed his brother? Her eyes widened slightly. He destroyed me out of jealousy? She thought. Her heart was bleeding. She couldn't believe how twisted and sick minded he was.

"It doesn't matter now." He sighed deeply and sat straight but his eyes remained down cast. "I've decided to leave everything behind us. I'm sure that we'll get past this. I know it's difficult for you to believe or accept but I will heal you Anissa. You're strong. You're the most strongest and courageous woman that I know. You're like a bright shinning star: you're my Tara. And I'll heal you. Fix you." He declared firmly. "I've realised that what I did to you was a mistake. I want us to forget and move on. I want to start over. I've realised that you're the woman who is meant for me. You're perfect the way that you are. I wanted everything from you and now, I want your heart. I want everything that you have to offer and in return, I'll give you everything that I have to offer."

She couldn't believe how easy he thought it was to start over. Just because he realised that he made a mistake in destroying her, he thought it was easy to bring her back to the way that she was and make things right? She felt her eyes water. She just didn't know what to do or what to think. He truly was insane.

"But it's okay. I know I did a lot of damage on you but I'll fix you. We can put everything behind us and move on." He emphasised.

"And I owe you everything anyway. Because you've saved my life twice. It's yours now. My life, my body even my soul. I'll give you everything. All I want in return is for you to return to normal because, " he stopped when his eyes raised and saw her face: she was pale, all the blood drained from her face, her eyes reverting back to their lifeless gleam, the one that he had learned to fear.
