Be careful who you pretend to be, you might forget who you are.

"No, " I shake my head firmly, refused to pretend to be Juliet again. "My name is Julie. Julie St. Matthews." A voice in my head asking me if I was trying to convince her or myself but I shut it off. With almost everyone I met saying thinking that I'm Juliet, I can't help to doubt the truth.

"Oh, I'm sorry." She raises her hand and tucks a few strands of her blonde hair behind her ear. "You just remind me of someone from my childhood."

"Was it by any chance, Juliet Matthias?" I decide to ask and see if there's an opening. I know I'm not going to pretend that I'm Juliet, just like what I did with the nun, but I know if I say the correct name, there's a chance that she might trust me enough to give me the information I need.

"Yes. Juliet. But how do you know? Do you know her too? Do I know you? I'm sorry but I don't remember much. There were a lot of kids in the orphanage and I was only close with Juliet so I don't really interact with the others. Plus, my memory isn't that good either." She giggles. The way she blabbers reminded me of my sister but I immediately brush off the thought. I'm sure there are a lot of people in the world who talks the way my sister does, and the fact that the girl right in front of me does as well doesn't really prove anything.

"No. I'm not from the orphanage. But I'm here to talk about Juliet since I'm going to write a story about her life. Sister Margareth told me about you being her friend while she was there. So, I thought maybe you could help me?" I cross my fingers behind my back. I hope the odds where people confess to strangers easily happen.

Stella smiles and opens the door wider. "Sure, come on in." She leads me into a comfortable living room where there are tw

Yet what are these coincidences? Nate is the inspiration for my first book, one that tells a story about my best friend who died in a car crash. Nate McLagen.

As I'm driving home, I remember that I haven't called my mom today so I fish out my phone and dial her number. Strange enough, she doesn't pick it up. I give it one more try yet still no answers. I toss my phone to the seat next to me as I focus my eyes on the road.

Nate. My high school buddy. Why did they have the same name? Is it really just a coincidence? If it is, there are so many coincidences so far. Starting with everyone mistaking me for Juliet, Juliet's friend has the same name as my baby sister, and now, her brother has the same name as my best friend.

An idea pops into my head like a lighting bulb. Maybe I should go to Ardmore, visit my parents and check my high school stuff. If anyone knows what happened in my life, it would be my mom. She keeps a close tab on me my entire life. And to be honest, I'm starting to worry about her. It's so unlike her to not answer her phone. Usually, she was the one who keeps on calling me until I answer.

I nod to myself. I guess Ardmore it is then.
