I tried to scream, but my vocal cords seemed to have already give up on me. In fact, my entire body seemed to slowly give up the fight, each moment passing succumbing more and more into darkness.

No, no no...

Please...D-don't h-hurt me..." I weakly begged, since that was the only thing I could actually do, while he continued to drag me across the shore.

"Now, now, Princess. Don't be so impatient. You'll see him soon enough."

"Where are you t-taking me and why d-do you keep calling me like t-that? And who is this guy y-you keep mentioning about?" I asked, lightly slurring while struggling to raise my chin up, to look at his face. But unfortunately, it seemed so damn hard to do so.

He simply chose to ignore all my questions, and instead, I felt him suddenly taking a halt, turning around to face me, right before I felt another pair of hands curling around my wrists.

"Shh, Princess. It will all end soon."

His voice seemed to grow farther and farther away, making me aware that the drug was running deeper and deeper into my system.

I weakly tried to move yet again, only to achieve nothing, just like the last time.

Laudas illum*...laudas illum...

Various tones of masculine voices started chanting in unison, making me realise they were more than two, right before I felt the small sting of something that felt like a blade lightly slicing the skin on my forehead, forcing out the tiniest whimper escape my lips.

Is this how am I going to die?

That was the only thing continuously swirling in my mind, while my entire body was slowly shutting down.

"Now, now. Didn't your daddy told you not to touch what doesn't belong to you?" A deep, baritone voice suddenly broke the buzzing chants, and just as I was about to try

to tell."

Hell no. I am tired to constantly be kept in the dark.

"No!" I suddenly found myself yelling, trying to get up as well from the couch.

"You listen, dude!

Whether it's yours or not to tell, you are going to tell us everything you know, right now!" I defiantly shouted at him, throwing him the angriest look I could muster, though I probably looked like a cute kitten, compared to his huge, warrior-like appearance.

As I expected, he simply smirked, looking obviously amused, before saying, "Hmm...feisty...

You really are his child, aren't you?"

That last sentence got me utterly confused, and for a moment, I simply stared at him, eyebrows raised, before I finally managed to speak, "What?

What the fuck are you talking about?

You don't know anything about my-"

Before I could finish my sentence, a single name escaped Luc's lips, leaving the whole house in a gravely deep silence, "Michael..."

"As a matter of fact, I do. More than you think, " Gabriel knowingly stated, giving me a small wink, while I simply continued to stare, utterly dumbfounded at them both.

*laudas illum (latin) - praise him
