I laid in my large, comfy bed, with my hands ducked behind my head, watching Leila stare at me, gaping like a fish on land, after what I've just told her.

"He's throwing a party, just for you?" She incredously shouted, earning a simple nod from me.

The truth was, I, myself still couldn't believe it.

In less than a week, Luc and I became good friends, and he even managed to get under my brother's skin, how he managed to do that, I still have no idea by the way, and now, he was going to throw a party, at his place, just to make me happy.

Crazy, huh?

"Wow...Who is this guy? I totally have to meet him!" She stated, smiling slightly dazed, squeezing the small pillow tighter in her arms, "By the way, do you think he would mind if I come as well?" She asked, tilting her head on a side, raising one eyebrow.

"No, of course he wouldn't. You're my best friend after all. And you know best friends have special privileges." I winked, grinning, and in the very next moment, she pounced on me, crushing my fragile bones in a warm, bear hug, squealing excited.

"Eeee! We're going to a party!"

"Yeah-ouch! Get your fat ass off me! You're crushing me!" I yelled in a muffled voice from beneath her.

Actually, she wasn't anywhere near fat, she was just as skinny and small as I was, but I always loved to call her like that. It was more like a stupid joke between us. She bursted in laughter, rolling off me, now laying down right next to me, removing the strands of her jet black locks fallen on her face.

"Still, do you even know what kind of party is he planning to throw? I mean, would it be a themed one, or something like that?" She then asked, turning to face me, resting on her elbow.

"Um, no. Actually, he didn't even say. He just said that he's going to throw a party at his place, just for me." I replied, pensively staring somewhere past her.

Now that she asked, it kinda got me thinking...what kind of party was he actually planning to throw?

I have to find out. I hate surprises. I'm going to find out.

Keeping that in my mind, I quickly jumped out of my bed, heading straight towards my walk-in closet, leaving Leila sitting there, somehow confused.

s, and as soon as I did, I suddenly felt my legs give up on me, almost falling on the floor if it wasn't for his muscly, strong arms to catch me.

His arms were now securely encircled around my waist, keeping me in place, close to his warm, hard body, my heart slamming wildly against my ribcage, threatening to get out.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." He spoke a warm, much softer tone, his eyes worriedly roaming all over features, making me blush.

Oh, you have no idea...

"Are you ok?

Here, let me help you."

Before I could protest, he already snaked one arm under my knees, scooping me up in his arms, my lips escaping a light squeal.

He then walked towards the bed, and gingerly placed me on it, taking a seat right next to me afterwards.

He sighed, absently running a hand through his slightly damp, dirty blonde hair, "You don't understand...I'm very worried for her, Leila." He confessed, gently placing his big warm hand over mine, making my heart jump again.

"I almost lost her, just a few days ago. If it wasn't for Lucifer to be there, she would be..." He suddenly stopped himself, lowering his gaze on the floor, looking somehow saddened.

My heart clenched in my chest at the sight of him so sad, so vulnerable, my other hand unconsciously slipping on his, giving it a light squeeze.

"I understand." I whispered, finally finding strenght to answer, giving him a warm, comforting smile.
