When I opened my eyes, I almost screamed. Putting a hand to my heart, I realized it was only a mirror in front of me. The erratic beating could no doubt be heard from a mile away. I took a deep breath, calming my heart down to half of how fast it had originally been racing. The beating was still pretty fast, but not nearly as bad as it had been.

Looking in the mirror, I saw my hair its usually shiny blonde, as if it had just been washed. It was also straightened, just how I liked it. What really shocked me though, was that I was in a bathing suit. It was a little red number with a black, slightly bigger piece behind it, and there was black writing on it. The swimwear showed off my one body piece that I was very proud of: my waist.

I looked around for different clothes, hoping for a fresh pair of jeans and a t-shirt. When I looked down, I saw exactly what I had imagined. I beamed, relieved to be in such casual clothes after Seth's little stunt.

Looking around, I only saw a dark forest, and a cloudy sky. I frowned, wondering where Seth was. Just as I thought that, I was practically teleported to him. My eyes popped at what I saw he had set up.

He was in a clearing, a good 100 square yards. In the middle was a natural hot spring, where he was sitting, his bare chest and up the only thing visible above the water. His arms rested on the sides of the bank. The steam made little droplets of moisture appear on his tan skin, giving it a wet, sexy gleam. Not in the sweaty, stinky way, but in a just-got-out-of-the-water-at-the-beach sort of sexy look. His black hair stuck to his forehead, making me want to run my fingers through it. A lazy, relaxed smirk was planted on his lips as he took in my reaction.

Contrasted to the cloudy sky I had seen before, a full moon shone down on the clearing, billions of stars winking at me from trillions of miles away. To add a little more light, red candles were set up around the spring, creating a pink, romantic haze on and around the water. The trees turned out to be Japanese cherry blossoms, and small, fragile pink petals floated on the spring's surface.

"Wow, " I breathed. When I inhaled again, a soft, floral scent hit my nose. I smiled, taking in the sweet smell.

I abruptly felt a coolness on my stomach and legs; glancing down, I realized I was back in the swimsuit. Frowning, I thought again of my previous, much more comfortable attire. Scowling now when I couldn't, Seth's chuckling was the only thing that told me he was still there.

Realization dawned on me as I recalled that he controlled these dreams. He could do anything he wanted to me during these encounters, and I wouldn't be able to say no to him.

"Well, crap, " I said aloud dumbly.

"Don't worry, " he snickered. "You'll enjoy yourself very much."

I gave him a you're-a-pig look.

"Okay, enough with the dirty looks. Come here, though."

I crossed my arms, cocking my hip. It was fun to be difficult at times like this. I always was at my most stubborn when I felt threatened.

"Angel, don't by stupid. Just come here."

I raised a mocking eyebrow.

Now, yes, I knew he could make me do as he said. Yes, I was fully aware that he would force me to listen to him. I don't go down without a fight, though. Never have I gone down without a fight.

"Eva, get your ass over here, " he growled, but I could see the tiny teasing glint in his eye, the way his muscles were still slackened, relaxed, and how his lips curled up slightly at the corners, the way they did when he was trying to hide a smirk.

I scoffed playfully.

"You leave me no choice, " he sighed, but it wasn't a wistful sigh, it was a here-we-go-again, fake sigh.

My legs started moving, but I didn't fight him. I allowed him to move my body next to him, let him slowly lower me into the water next to him, making sure first that the water wouldn't burn my skin if I got in too quickly at once.

The warm liquid slowly consumed my whole body until the only thing above the surface was my head, neck, and a little bit of my collarbone.

I imagined my hair in a braid, so it wouldn't be a hassle in the water. When I blinked, my wish came true, my blonde locks now off my neck and shoulders. Seth pulled me onto his lap, and I laid my head down on his shoulder. I sighed, relaxed and happy.

After a few minutes, his hand worked its way to my braid, where he tugged out the ponytail and threw it onto a branch. I had to admit

gainst a tree and pulling me in between his legs. "Tilt your head forward a little, " he commanded. "It's gonna hurt a bit, but just bear with me, okay?"

I nodded, slowly leaning my head forward. A stinging pricked my neck, but I bit my lips and kept leaning.

"Whoa, " Seth commented, catching my head and bringing it back up to half of what it had been at. "You don't have to go through that much pain. Here."

He started massaging my neck, effectively getting the soreness out of it. While he worked, he hummed something I knew I knew, but couldn't think of.

"What is that?" I asked.

"Drops of Jupiter by Train."

"Ah! I knew that, too."

"No one's making you be perfect, Eva."

"It's just me, I guess. I'm just like that."

"Yeah, " he agreed softly. "But I like it."

I sighed, leaning back into his chest.

"But tell me, did you sail across the sun?

Did you make it to the Milky Way

To see the lights all faded

And that heaven is overrated?

Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star?

One without a permanent scar

And then you missed me

While you were looking for yourself out there?"

Seth sang amazingly, honestly. His deep voice definitely made singing a career for him, if he would've ever needed one. I hummed along with him.

"Can you imagine no love, pride, deep-fried chicken

Your best friend always sticking up for you

Even when I know you're wrong?

Can you imagine no first dance, freeze-dried romance

Five-hour phone conversation

The best soy latte that you ever had, and me?"

He sighed. "So many things I want to be able to talk to you about, Angel. You'd never forgive me if I asked you one, though."

"Mmm, " I hummed, not really caring.

"I like the name Lucas, " he said randomly.

"Me too, " I mumbled, half-heartedly trying to join the conversation. I was already half asleep.

"Angel, please stay awake. I know you're tired, but I don't want to waste any time with you."

I sleepily bobbed my head up and down once. "You're right, you're right, " I slurred, rubbing my eyes.

Seth suddenly growled, making me shoot up. "What, what?!" I panicked.

"Owen's trying to get into our dream, " he snarled.

I widened my eyes. Half, obviously was from fear. If I was killed in a dream, would I be dead in real life? Yes, I would. If you died in a dream, your brain believed your body was actually dead, so it shut down, causing your heart to shut down. Sure, you can come close to dying, but not actually perish. Besides, why was he trying to see us? What did he want?

The other half was from the exceptional timing. I was planning on telling Seth about my plan, but there was obviously no time for that. I didn't exactly have a whole kung fu dance planned out, but I had a few words in mind that might help Owen see our side of the story. I had a feeling he was simply blinded by anger and sorrow.

"Let him in, " I demanded. Seth gave me a bewildered look. "I have a plan."
