I knew that Theodore was dangerous, but I didn't know exactly how dangerous he really was until now. I tried my best to maintain a calm exterior, even though my insides were going crazy with fear and panic. As I looked into Theodore's unreadable eyes, I just knew that I was in deep trouble.

"Care to explain what is the meaning of this, Ms. Pritchett?" Theodore asked while waving my resignation letter in the air.

I stood still biting my lip, not knowing what to do or say. Just plain silent. While Theodore sat opposite me, his hand clenched in a tight fist. I really didn't know what to say to him, I mean he was the owner of this company, and he was asking me what my resignation letter meant, I mean wasn't he suppose to be smart?

"Sir, with all due respect, I believe the meaning of this letter is that I want to resign from this company." I stated the obvious. Nice going Sherlock!

"Wow really, Ms. Pritchett? I thought it was a bloody proposal!" Theodore snapped sarcastically, causing me to flinch internally. I bit my lip, trying very hard not to do something stupid as to fall on my knees and beg for forgiveness, but man this guy was making it bloody hard for me not to resort to begging.

"What made you think you could resign from my company?" He demanded.

Ok that's it, who was he to tell me what I could and couldn't do. It was my life, my job, and no one told me how to run my life. And certainly not this bossy, demanding freak.

"Excuse me Mr. Benson, the last time I checked I'm a free human being, who has the right to live her life the way she wants, and no one can dictate what I do with my life, and definitely not you. I want to resign from your company, and that is exactly what the letter says, now if you're done with your temper tantrum, I would gladly take my leave, good day to you, sir." I responded and was about to walk out when the next words from Theodore's mouth had me freezing in my spot.

"You walk out of this office and I would make your life a living hell. Don't even think for one second, that you won't see me once you leave, because sweetheart, " he said and walked towards me from behind his desk until he stood mere inches from me, " now there is no place on earth that you can go that I wouldn't be able to find you." He whispered in my ear causing me shiver.

Why oh why was this happening to me. What was wrong with this guy. And why in the hell was he acting like this. He couldn't make me stay. He, had no right over me.

"You—you cannot stop me, Mr. Benson. It is my right as a human being to do what I want. And—and I will leave this company, and you can't stop me." I replied firmly.

"No darling, that's where you're wrong. You see, I do have the power to stop you. Once you decide to walk out the door, I would have security here who would be hauling your pretty ass off to jail for breeching your contract with this company." He finished smugly.

I looked at him, wide eyed, fe

ar evident in them. He wouldn't.

"You wouldn't do that. You can't do that! I didn't breech any contract and you can't accuse me of it." I nearly yelled in fear.

The cold, victorious look in his eyes, and the devilish grin that turned him into a devil, had my blood running cold. "Ofcourse I can, flower. I am the boss after all. You take this resignation letter and burn it, and continue to work for me like the good little assistsnt that you are, and you wouldn't have to see what life behind prison bars feel like." He stated.

"You're are blackmailing me!" I exclaimed.

He laughed. A booming victory laugh that had goosbumps rising on my arms. Then all of a sudden he stopped, and pulled closer to him by snaking a hand around my waist, causing me to yelp in surprise.

"Ofcourse little bird I'm blackmailing you, " he pushed a strand of hair behind my ear, " now I suggest you do the smart thing and forget this resignation letter, and go on with your work, or you can feel the coolness of handcuffs around your dainty wrists, " he nuzzled my neck causing my to gasp, " although, I want to handcuff you myself, but maybe I'll do that later." He said and abruptly released me causing me to stumble.

Oh my God.

"Now, go and make me a nice cup of coffee, Ms. Pritchett." He said and walked over to his desk, looking totally in control, and not the slightest bit disheveled. Meanwhile, leaving me as a freaking hormonal, flustered mess.

Oh Benson you're going to pay for this.

I turned around and stormed out of his office, not even bothering with curteosy of saying, "yes sir". I went in the small cafe and made coffee for my dear boss. I had the strongest urge to poison his coffee, so the next time he woke up would be six feet under, but my rational and good side kicked in, warning me the consequences and the guilt that came with murdering someone in cold blood.

But he deserved to die. The world would be a better place without him. People would be much happier. Plus he's so dangerous; dangerous is bad in your books, right? My evil side countered.

In the end, I decided to spare his life. Even though, I wanted to kill him for what he did today, right now.

But Theodore thought that he'd won. However, what he didn't know was that when I made up my mind about something, I made sure to always do it, no matter what happened.

I decided to resign from this company. And I would resign. Theodore be damned.
