- "A journey is a moment of learning. It is not the end goal itself."

[A few minutes ago]

Ulissis sat down on one of the tables and caught his breath. "I should've stayed back with An and Sarah. Even walking this far is tiring me out."

Sarah smiled at them. "Yeah. You should have. Mr. Pervert here can come in handy from time to time."

An sighed. "Please don't call me that, " the psychic mage said.

Alto looked around. "Where did that boy that you helped out go?"

"He left to get something to eat, " Sarah said as she pressed her lips against the straw of her prana restoration potion.

"I hope that he didn't get lost, " An said, putting his elbows on the table.

"That would suck, considering he only managed to make it thanks to the likes of you, " Aban said as he sipped on his prana drink. He had used up a lot of his prana with the creation of all those walls at the train station. Though in the end it was for nothing, thanks to Sarah.

"Let's go get something to eat too, " Arima said as she stood up from her seat.

"Sounds good, " the former gangster said, putting down his energy drink. "I'm starving!"

"I'm coming too, " Alto said, standing up. He glanced at the halls leading to the cafeteria. The architecture of Mahpiya High bared a strong resemblance to the abandoned school in which Alto and friends taught Melody, Jet, and the other neighborhood kids. It was as if he had been transported back home.

"Are you getting home sick?" Aban asked, watching Alto with curiosity.

Alto laughed. "Me?" He sighed. "Yeah, maybe a little."

"Seems that Iah made new friends while outside, " Vermeil said, glancing at Iah's table. He seemed troubled by something, or someone.

"Should we join them?" Alto asked.

Vermeil surveyed the spacious cafeteria. Even with thousands of students, the place managed to look empty. "No, I think that we're better off eating at our own table."

"Mind

and delicate skin. "Orion?"

"Oh, it's you!" Yuzuki said, grinning. "Come, I'll show you the way. Again."

Orion chuckled. "Sorry."

"Don't worry about it. I do wish you luck. My young brother and friends won't be easy for you to overcome. Especially not Lei."

His eyes beamed. "Ah! So I finally get to meet the famous Lei. Hope that he's as strong as you make him out to be."

"Oh he is. A guy can't claim no want to be Magus Maximus and have nothing to back it up with, " Yuzuki responded, grabbing his hand. Making sure that no one was around to see, she warped the two of them to the gymnasium.

"Yuzuki!" A honey-brown haired guy around their age ran over to them, waving at Yuzuki as he came to a stop in front of the gym doors. His smile faded as his eyes shifted toward Yuzuki and Orion's interlocked hands. "Who is this guy?"

Yuzuki quickly let go of Orion's hand. "He's taking the exam. He got lost."

Orion chuckled nervously. "A... again, sorry about that."

Lei's warm smile returned. "Ohh. For a moment there I thought that he was the guy you liked."

Orion's face flushed as he turned to look at her. "Li...like?"

Yuzuki shook her head. "Let's go. We're running late as it is."
