"Here's a good a place as any, " someone mentioned.

"Aye, " another agreed. "Ain't nothin' can sneak up on us from out here. We can sees' all around us."

Orders circled around to come to a halt for a few hours. Larson and Garrett met up with Cicatriz. The rest of Larson's crew was ready for bed, but Garrett was anxious to speak to the head of the guard, and Larson wanted to be there, for better or worse. Leaning up against a cart while some large rodents scurried about in the distance, the three awkwardly glanced at one another.

"You obviously have something to say to me, " Cicatriz started.

Larson looked around. Others were approaching, but the old man gave a nearly imperceptible shake of the head, and the people found something else to do. Garrett rapped his fingers on the edge of the covered cart before speaking up.

"I want you to take everyone, and head back to Stormguard."

"You must be mad, " Cicatriz smiled. He then looked to Larson. The warrior had his feet crossed and his back to the cart, but he was looking away into the distance. "He's joking, right?"

Larson didn't reply or even turn, but Garrett answered. "Listen, friend, there is something you should know about us; we weren't really looking for paid work, we were looking for an unobtrusive way to get into Glennmoor…we believe the reason for the upheaval of late is connected to someone evil residing in that city, and we were afraid of being recognized as the warriors who recently defeated the White Wraiths in Stormguard."

"What, " the old guard asked and folded his muscled arms over his chest.

"I apologize for the duplicity; we never intended fo

within the nobility and overthrow this country, " Larson said.

"You must be joking."

"I'm afraid we aren't, " the warrior said, solemnly.

"So, you understand why you should turn back, " Garrett added.

"Turn back? I don't think Gonzalo will turn back. He cares for people, and so do I. We don't want to see anything bad happen to people. We want everyone to get along and receive the supplies they need to live their lives, " Cicatriz stated. "If you need our help to get inside Glennmoor then we will help you."

"I don't think you understand what you're up against, " Garrett argued.

"I will speak to Gonzalo and let him decide; the safety of the merchants is more important than my willingness to help you defeat evil people, but we are halfway to Glennmoor. We should get there and see for ourselves if there really is a blockade, and we need to do our best to keep these trade routes safe, so other merchants can do business, and so that people can travel without fear, but thank you for finally telling me what has been going on…you should have told me from the beginning, though."
