"What are you doing?" Fortha huffed.

"Where are you going?" Charlotte breathed.

"I gots ta' pee, " he barked.

"I do, too, actually, " Fortha snickered.

"Can't you morons hold it?"

"We had like th-thirty beers, " Seanessy chuckled.

"Maybe between the two of us, " Fortha surmised.

"Oh my Gods, you friggin' amateurs, I could kill you myself, " Charlotte muttered.

There was silence for a moment. Then, they heard the wood creak like the home was settling from a temperature change. Finally, Charlotte spoke from a position above them.

"Now you can go pee. No one will know I'm here, so only the two of you will get killed."

"Works fer' me, " the dwarf said and bolted outside to pee behind the house.

Fortha followed. Neither of them had bothered to shut the door. After voiding their bladders, they both noticed the western glow in the sky. While there were still clouds blocking the sun, morning was soon to come. Back inside the home, they shut the door and found some chairs by shuffling and feeling around with their arms outstretched.

"Shouldn't we do something about the old man?" Fortha ventured.

"Like?" Charlotte sighed.

No one said a thing. More of the strained silence persisted. The elf cocked his lips to the side, wondering.

"Do you really think someone's going to come and try to kill us, " the archer asked. "This might not have anything to do with us."

"Just wait and see. If nothing happens by daybreak, we'll go out, and look for the others, " Charlotte replied.

. We're all supposed to meet back here and trade information, " Larson stated.

"No wonder you were so hesitant to let on what you were doing, " Tannish said.

Wincing knowingly, Larson nodded. "Well, " Wilma began, "share."

Seanessy looked her up and down, and fiery as she was, she returned scrutiny. "We learned that strange things been happenin' on trade routes, " Seanessy told them. "Skeleton sightins', trade blockades, and whatnot, but not much about the White Wraiths or Parish."

"We've an in as hired guards if it's a necessity, " Fortha added. "We could travel to Glennmoor without arousing suspicions that way, I should think."

Nodding, Larson added, "White Wraiths attacked the temple here. Terrence was the only survivor, and just barely. Wilma and her crew came from Ulfberth where there's been as much trouble."

"At least in the past, " Yoris stated.

They turned to Charlotte, but she shrugged. "Well, priest, " Larson heaved, "now's as good a time as any to tell us what you know."
