In her parents room, Roselynne dressed in one of her mother’s

tight-fitting jumpsuits, secured her father’s blaster at her

waist. She coiled her hair up and pinned it with some of her

mom’s decorative combs. She looked in the mirror and smiled.

She looked awesome! She half turned, viewing her backside.

‘Nice.’ She complimented herself. She had hard work to do

now. She paused by the bed, thinking. What was she going to

do? She needed a plan. She turned her back to the door,

staring at her parent’s room, looking for inspiration. Thinking,

she whispered, “Fe. Fi. Fo. Fum, be he alive or be he dead, I’ll

grind his bones to make my bread.” As she said the words,

her eyes fell on the view-port where one of the moons was

visible. Beautiful. It was an eerie beauty. She turned away

quickly. She didn’t have time to admire the moons’ beauty.

Not today. “I’ll grind his bones to make my bread.” She

repeated. Then, turning, she quickly left the bedroom. Keeping

her footsteps quiet, she made her way down the hall. She saw

nobody. There weren’t many people to see, unless you went to

the prison quarters. She had no problem getting to the

kitchen unseen. It was deserted. She searched trough all the

cupboards until she found what she was looking for. She

grinned mischievously. This was fun; maybe she should

make this kind of thing her full-time occupation. She hurried

out of the kitchen and crept to the door of the control room, it

was cracked open. She pressed her ear to the door.

“No, no, no!” Webb’s voice compl

oselynne turned toward him, blaster still on Drek, “Well?”

“I’ll help too.” The officer promised.

She nodded, “Names?” she asked.

“I’m Drek. He’s Will.”

“Good. Come. We’ve got work to do.” Roselynne quietly led

them to her parent’s room, which she was using as a base.

Drek sat down on the bed. Will sat on the floor.

“I don’t know why he’s been acting so strange lately. Webb

used to be a really great guy. A pleasure to work with.” Drek

said.

“This transformation happened so quickly. One minute he was

watching the moons and talking with your folks, next thing we

know he goes berserk.” Will added.

“And the discoloring.” Roselynne added.

“Yeah. Don’t know how that happened.”

An idea was tugging at Roselynne’s mind. Something that was

important, but she couldn’t quite grasp what it was. Perhaps

it was the key to this whole puzzle. It had something to do

with the discoloring, and the moon. Frustrated with herself

she asked, “So does anybody have any plans?” She received

two negative answers.
