“OK, just don’t forget. I’d hate to kidnap you again Highness.”

He teased.

She laughed.

“Seriously though,” he wondered, “You seemed very at ease

during while you were being held as prisoner. Why weren’t

you angry or harsh towards us?”

She thought for a moment before replying. “I don’t know. I

suppose it was the idea that my being kidnapped would save

lives. And you seemed so nice; I figured your people were like

you. You seemed like you really didn’t want to kidnap m, but

that you had too.” She explained her thoughts.

“Even though we could give you nothing but paper, pencil,

and a bed?”

She laughed, “The food came later.” She reminded him.

“Others have suffered in this galaxy worse then I.”

He nodded, “Yes, that’s true.” He agreed. “Out of curiosity,

may I ask what you did use the paper for?”

She blushed, “Would you like to see?”

She got the notebook. With him peering over her shoulder

she flipped the pages. It was him. Page after page. His face

smiling, frowning, laughing, creased with worry. Every page.

The notebook was filled.

“You drew ME?” He was shocked.

“Why?” he couldn’t believe it.

She shrugged, “You had a lovely face. So beautiful. I had to

draw it. I never thought it would make you angry.” She

“I’m not angry, Highness. Just very surprised.”

“May I keep it?” he aske

ross. I’m going to space walk.

Let me know when your ready for me.”

“Yes, Sir!”

Mi“cio landed down on the planet it had been stolen from. The

Queen had staying in the docking bay the whole time. When it

arrived she rushed forward so thankful it had returned. She’d

been worried that it, along with all aboard, would be

destroyed. Captain Dem got out and walked toward her.

“Hey! Queen!” he stood in front of her now, “If I asked you to

marry me, would you?”

She starred at him innocently, playing his own game.

“Captain! Are you asking me to marry you?”

“Yes, will you?”

“Why?” she asked calmly.

“Why?” he repeated looking confused, “Well, somewhere along

our adventure, I fell in love with you. Will you marry me?”

“Oh. Well, I might. If the occasion called for it.”

Dem laughed quietly, recognizing his own words. “Is this

occasion enough for you, Queen Maelynne?”

“Yes, I will.” She smiled.
