This legend has to do with toilets, paper, and hell. Sounds great, doesn“t it?

Anyways, let“s get right into it. There“s apparently a mysterious figure named Aka Manto. In a lot of depictions of him, he“s a man wearing a mask to hide his face with some red attire on.

If a person is sitting on the toilet (usually the last stall), a mysterious voice will ask them if they want red paper or blue paper. This is Aka Manto. He might make himself visible by opening up the stall door, but there is a chance he will simply

myself. Nobody really knows his origins or backstory, so he is a rather mysterious spirit.

But luckily, in this legend, there is a way to not get murdered or dragged to a fiery demise.

Just wait until he asks the question, and then reply "No Paper." He will just leave you alone, so you can go finish your business and live to see another day.
