Mahnoor's POV:

I was woken up by the annoying sound of an alarm and quickly slid my hand under my pillow to turn it off before Moosa gets up. But it did disturb his sleep.

"Who is calling?" I heard his grumpy voice.

"It was alarm!"

"Oh!" He answered, going back to his sleeping mode. I quickly roll over to the other side of the bed, out of his reach and sighed in relief when he didn't search for my presence. He has a very strange habit of cuddling in his sleep.

Is it because he was lonely for a long time?

For how long?

How long have you stayed alone, Moosa?

My gaze stays on his face for more than several moments, staring at his silky disheveled hair which he usually sets backward with the help of tons of hair products.

Yesterday was the second time where he rescued me. The first time was from his female gang members, and yesterday was from my own family.

I was really shaken up by Bhai's attitude. Never thought that my own brother would say or think of something as low as such, and what broke me the most is that Ami didn't say anything to deny him. All I got was a weak defense from Papa.

However, it scared me at first when I saw him in Ami's house. I am aware of what he is capable of doing, but he didn't say or do anything bad, for this, I am thankful to Allah and for him. Not only because he handled everything with a cool head, but also, for being with me when I was at the edge of breaking. Even before sleeping, he stayed by my side and tried to comfort me with his unspoken words, which can easily be read in his eyes.

At that time, I felt a sudden urge to hold this person tight who was lying beside me, having so many emotions for me in his eyes. He tried to say something but I shut my eyes and clenched his shirt to make him quiet. I feared that I would wake up from this dream - A dream where I have a person who cares for me when I nearly lost my family.

"Thank you.... Moosa." I whispered hopelessly because I know I would never be able to say these words to him directly.

I got up, prayed Fajar Namaz, and lay down on the couch, closing my eyes. All the moments of yesterday start to playback in my mind like a film. Loss, shock, sadness, the anger I don't know what I am feeling now but whatever this emotion is, it's painful.

"Noor?" A hand gently brushes my hair.

I inhaled a deep breath before opening my eyes and find him crouching beside the couch.

"Why are you crying?"

"It's.... nothing." I sit straight, wiping tears from the corner of my eyes. He took a seat beside me.

"Listen, Noor. I am sorry about yesterd-"

"It's okay. We don't have to talk about it, I am fine." I didn't let him finish his sentence. There is nothing to talk about. He didn't answer for awhile and kept on looking at me, while I stare at the floor.

"Hm....! So, you are fine?" I nodded without looking at him.

"Then don't lay here with a sad face and work." He suddenly changed the topic.

"Huh?" I give him a questioning look.

Instead of answering me, he walked over to the wardrobe and pull out five pairs of his Kurta Shalwar.

"Today, you're learning to press my clothes." He says, putting all the clothes on the bed.

"But they are so many?" My eyes widened in horror. I still remember how troublesome it was to press his large sized Kurta Shalwar and now five of them.

"Well....You cannot learn from pressing just one. But let's have breakfast before starting your lesson." He smiles and went to the bathroom.

Calm down....

Calm down.........

I keep repeating in my head, hoping that I could stop my hands from shaking.

"You can leave..... I will press them all." I said, trying my best to stay calm and not to be fazed by his gaze.

After breakfast, he demonstrated how to press Kurta Shalwar. I watched him carefully and later press a Kurta to show him. He nodded in approval and appreciated me. I expected him to leave but he didn't move an inch, even after I pressed two Kurtas and what's bothering me is that he has been staring at me while leaning against the wall beside the iron stand.

"I doubt that you can press clothes with your shaky hands." He says, moving away from the wall, with a small smile playing on his lips.

"No, I can do it." I try to assure him, making fists of both of my h

me a suspicious look.

"No, yar."

"Then? Tell me the truth, Mano. Did he say something?" Her frown deepened.

She is taking it in a wrong sense!

"It's nothing like th-" My sentence was left incomplete because of the door bell is ringing.

"Moosa is here." Says Kanwal.

No way!

"Oye! Wait.... wait... wait." I quickly tug her arm to stop her from leaving.

"Why is Moosa here?" I cannot face him right now. It's just too embarrassing and how am I going to tell him the reason for leaving.

"I don't know. He says I am coming and I said okay." She shrugged.

"You don't always have to agree with everything, idiot! And he is not coming in right now. Tell him to go back and that I am sleeping or something."

"Why do you want to send him back? Just listen to the guy for once." She dragged me into the house along with her.

"You don't understand. I cannot face him now."

"Why not?"

"Because we kissed and I was so startled by kissing him back that I ran and came here." And here goes my secret.

She batted her lashes thrice before letting out a loud "Ohooooo....!" in a teasing manner.

"Shut up!" The bell rings again.

I give her a pleading look and she rolls her eyes.

"Fine, let me go. I'll deal with him but I cannot return him from the door. So wait in the guest room." She says, pointing towards the guest room. I nod and leave her.

Coming inside the room, I carefully close the door. First I try to eavesdrop on their conversation by putting my ear on the door but still unable to hear any voice. So, I thought it would be better to sit. Dropping myself onto the bed, I start praying that Moosa leaves because I doubt that he can be fooled easily.

Suddenly, the door swings open. I quickly get up, thinking it was Kanwal but the person who came in was Moosa.

"Take your time, love birds." I heard Kanwal's amused voice before the door's closing sound.

Allah poche ga tumse Kanwal....

*Yar: friend (Urdu slang)

*Allah poche ga tumse Kanwal: Allah will question you for what you have done to me.

Salam and hello everyone!

* Sorry for making you wait but I did update it before the weekend ends. Right? ^^'

* I'll try to update next chapter before Friday but not promising it.

*Will update a new chapter of 'Oh! My Darling Teacher' on Tuesday.

* Lately I have been receiving messages and comments about this story being cliche and very similar to 'Bashar Momin' (A Pakistani Drama serial). First, it's nothing like Bashar momin. Both stories are way different. Second, I think that every cliche story has something unique in it. So try to find the difference not similarities and enjoy them.

*So back to the story!

It was a very slow chapter I guess but was necessary and I hope I didn't disappoint you guys.

Don't forget to vote and comment!

Take Care :)
