"Amma-bi, someone is on the door." Shahina murmured half-awake but didn't get any answer from the sixty-five-year-old head housemaid whom they all called 'Amma-bi'. The knock on the door didn't stop nor Shahina move from her place, she is not an early morning riser but no one knows it expects Amma-bi.

With a displeased face she got up from the bed, grabbed her dupatta and opened the door, "Amma-Bi, the door is unlocked. Why are y-"

Shahina stopped in the middle when she didn't find Amma-bi at the door. She looked outside but was unable to see a single soul.

Was I imagining itjQuery214002197777006129842_1580449356191?

Scratching her head, she went back to the bed again and covers herself in the blanket again.

Yawar let out a sigh of relief when he heard the door closing sound.

'What the hell was I thinking?'

Rushing towards the Main House wasn't unintended, he decided to tell Shahina about Moosa but after reaching here he got unsure of his decision. Therefore, he hid in the next room to Shahina's.

'The first one to know about MB should be Bhabi.' He reminded himself and carefully left the room. Praying that no from the ladies sees him coming from this direction.

"Yawar?" He was silently making his way to his room when Natasha's voice stopped him.

Great! I am definitely going to be scolded again...

"Assalam o Alaikum, Api."

"Wallaikum Assalam." She said with a wide smile.

So she knows....!

Thought Yawar and smiled back.

"Congratulations." She engulfed him into a tight hug.

"Same to you." He hugged her back.

"Did you tell her?"

"Who?" He quickly apart himself.

Instead of answering him, Natasha turned her head to the direction Yawar was coming from and turned again to him.

"Then why did you go there?"

"It thought Bhabi has the first right."

"Hm!... You are right. But I don't think she would be able to wait until he came back. So it's better not to tell her anything until we are sure of his time of arrival." Yawar nodded in agreement.

"Anyways, have you eaten anything?"

"Then come with me, I will make breakfast for you." Natasha patted his back and they both went to the kitchen.

Amma-bi noticed the serenity of Yawar's face and the happiness in his voice and so does Kanwal. But unlike Amma-bi she confronts him as soon as she got an opportunity.

"You are dodging the topic again."

"For God sake bhabi. How many times will you ask this question?" Yawar was trying to leave his room but Kanwal was standing in the middle of the door to stop him.

"Kanwal Bhabi, you are really behaving like Mahnoor Bhabi right now." He got a bit irritated.

"So what? I am her friend."

"Just give me a hint Yawar, I am not asking for details."

"I cannot. Try to understand. My hands are tied."

"Okay, give me your hands. I will untie them." She made a poker face.

"Bhabi....." His eyes went wide

"Just tell me Yawar. You know I won't let you go."

"Fine, your dear husband is safe. Happy now?"

"I am not asking about him only."

"Then what are you talking about?"

"Yawar?" Kanwal scow

en think straight.

"I want to see you."

"But I don't want to leave you now."

"I am not going anywhere."

Ahad loses his grip, allowing her to face towards him but didn't remove his arms completely. As if he faired that she flees away at any moment. Kanwal's eyes blurred as she came face to face with Ahad and lowered her head cradling his face with both hands.

"Ssshhh! don't cry. He said touching her hands and continued in a hush, "Or I will kiss you right now without caring about the presence of Yawar behind you."

Kanwal startled and abruptly distance herself from Ahad. He laughed out loud on her embarrassed state and pulled her into a hug again. Irritated on his joke, she pinched his arm only to receive his chuckle.

"Assalam o Alaikum." They both heard a knock followed by Yawar's voice.

This time Ahad stepped back himself mumbling, "Kabab main haddi (a bone in Kabab)."

"Walaikum Assalam. Aye, ander tashreef laiye (Come, come inside please)."

"Thank you. And also thank you for ditching us all at the airport." Yawar said walking towards them.

"Wow, look at this kid Kanwal. He has grown so much in just a few days." Ahad said embracing him and patted his back.

It was true that he has changed a lot in the past few weeks and his well built and maintained body was the cherry on the top. No matter what the truth is, he doesn't look like a twenty years old guy.

"I am not a kid."

"Yes, yes. I know. Now tell me, whats bring you here?"

Kanwal gave Ahad an incredulous look, on which he winked at her and turned his attention to Yawar.

"Actually, I am here for bhabi and for you... rest properly we will talk later." Yawar said coming over to Kanwal.

"Are you happy now, Ahad Bhai is here. But please don't tell Mahnoor bhabi about it. MB is not well, so it's better not to tell her for a few days."

"How many days?

"Two to three days, or maybe four." Kanwal nodded in agreement.

He smiled and put his hand on her head. "Sada khush raho (Stay blessed)." He said like an elderly person giving his blessings and left. Leaving both of them astonished.
